I just bought a galant GSR with real average paint, and I was just wondering what everyone thinks about matt black paint jobs??
Yes or no?
I guess I have nothing to loose, I rekon a spray can matt black paint job looks better than what its got now!
Here's some pics of my mate's GSR in NZ, that was painted with spray cans
Has anyone ever done this before?

Satin black is better
the car is a little rough, i.e got some small dents in it, so matt black is the go IMO

I agree with sivart, satin black is the go, looks the same and you dont get a black sponge and chammis when you wash it.

Matt black is the perfect 'in between' colour when you hate the colour you've currently got but have to save money or couldnt be assed to get a spay job I remember a guy who had a yellow Mazda RX3 and hated the colour so much that he gave it a quick matt black spray job and it looked 1000% better so go for it Give the existing paint a good sand etc and give the paint a good clean surface to stick to. Before and After photos are compulsory

1200 grit wet rub to bring it back.
It should be good to gas after that.
