NOTE: IF YOUR NOT IN THE MOOD FOR A LONG RANT ABOUT PAINTING THEN PLEASE SKIP THIS POST :)

I think the matte black would look kool, if u intended to just keep it that way.
From a spray painters point of view, do not just do it as a "between colours" choice as it may cost u more to respray it later as the preperation will have to be more tedious trying to take off all that black.

The place in Baywater is called Europaint (from memory), but i would say the catch is that the preperation is not all that good, which means the paint will eventually flake and de-laminate on u. Again if this is the route then it will cost u more later on to paint it.

My advice is to just stick it out with the crappy paint for now (maybe give it a cut and polish), choose a colour u would be happy to stick with and go from there.
but on the same token if u wanna go matte black (which would look pretty damn cool) then go for it. If u use spray cans then u may have a hard time gettin it to all sit down nicely.
Chances are, u will see your can strokes.
I did my celica bonnet (took about 2.5 cans) and it took me ages to get it to look nice and even.

and dont get me wrong, not trying to talk u out of it, just trying to give u a better understanding of all the possibilities and different ways u COULD go about things.

Im kent brockman, and thats MY 2 CENTS!

i did my 120y with cans,

was great, but as others have said, black on the sponge etc...

the problem i had in the long run was that it eventually wore off
and i had to redo it again after a while,

put some flames on while your there

I recomend killrust paint, you could hi gloss it with this paint and it would look pro

its a bit more expensive about 11 dollars a can, but its still just over 100 bucks

u can buy a matte clear, its basically the same as c.o.b clear except it will still stay matte
we used it at my old work on the inside of bonnets as lots of bmw's and european cars use matte engine bays

yeh but if he was to use a matte clear then he would be charged the same price (if not more) than a normal respray. from memory matte clear is pretty expensive.

P.S. the matte black rocker cover looks mint, might consider doing that
