Jon

similar turbo but different motor, ecu etc.

that car was slapped together in the last minute and tuned

so that was a great effort.

I wonder if we could organise a twilight meet for next year.

Those Ford guys seemed to get there with perfect timing. I'm sure those times from yesterday would have dropped a bit if it wasn't so hot.

It was a pity the timing boards weren't working properly, but oh well :(

But judging by the MPH it doesnt have a genuine 275kw ;) maybe 230-240kw zone.

I'm pretty sure there was some tinkering going on with it between runs, I don't know what the issue was.
The temperatures on the day wouldn't have helped.
I don't know what it's 60 ft times were, but it didn't seem to be launching that hard.

we can go on all day about power readings on dynos...

end of the day its hit an 11.8 in pretty damn hot temps.

the car had its motor dropped in the day before so it was a fair effort.

if it was cooler im sure it would have cracked a better time as would others.

Regardless of times / dyno readings.... you guys are forgetting one thing..
driver skill.. most of the drivers were first timers.. so you cant expect them to drive the car to its limits yet...

I'm sure after a few more runs down the 1/4 they'll easily improve over their times on that day...

But it was a good effort for all!
The next one will be better =)

Thanks for a top day and letting us come play. What a great bunch of people and cars, we'll definetely drive over next year. We stayed on with the Ford Club and it rained and we lost 1.5 hours of track time. By then the temperature dropped to 20'C but the track had cooled as well, doh.

I managed 11.4X x 2 runs in 32'C and could only manage one decent 11.5 in the cool evening runs. Amazing how much grip a hot track will give you.

Mark's Liberty (the white one) was the only casualty snapping one of the rear drive shafts!!

Sounds like a good day guys - congrats. Those liberties sound like animals.

If it's going to happen next year, I'll have to try and bring my shitbox down.
