I'm planning on getting my evo 3 recaros refurbished with all new suade and rebuilding the side bolsters that are a little squished. And i'm using the inserts from the back evo 3 seats to retrim the rear GSR split fold seat. And i'll use matching suade from the fronts to do the rear seat surrounds, door trims, piller covers, hoodlining and center dash surround.
It's going to be a bit of work and take me a few months so i snapped up the evo 6 gear to use. I couldn't bare to put the aust spec GSR seats back in after having the recaros.

It's not my GSR but here's my latest attempt to destroy any chance of me retaining my licence!

Nice mate! Very nice! Did it come with a tool to remove your nuts from your ass?
One of my mates just bought the 2008 R1, picks it up this weekend I think.

It's a 2002 R1. First of the injected models. Rides so nice and is much slimmer in tank size than the old R1/R6's. Nearly has the feeling of riding a 250 with a tonne more power. Way too easy to be doing stupid speeds without noticing!

Small update.
The plan has changed a little. Thanks to Scott (marinetowing) I have aquired a complete evo II motor with a blown head gasket to rebuild. So now I need to decide whether to stroke it or keep it 2 litre. Either way it will be fully forged, balance shafts removed, lightened flywheel etc.
I'll probably build it up over the next 12 months or so and hopefully have the car resprayed with all genuine kit and sunroof at about the same time.
In the meantime i'm just going to keep the car as is and not install any of the new gear sitting in my shed.
I'm also looking at replacing the full wiring loom behind the dash as it looks like there has been about 20 different alarms patched in everywhere down there. Random wires just hanging down all over the place.
Does anyone have an unmolested evo or gsr loom from a front cut they don't want?
