You have to inspect UK cars very closely, they are fantastic at hiding rust and smooching up cars. I have seen cars arrive here that had newspaper stuffed into sill panels then bogged and painted...
Personally I wouldn't be searching there for a good one considering they come here to purchase our cars...
Agree rust is definitely a problem there. But also in certain parts of Japan.
Comes down to trying to find value. It seems that in the UK, they are not worth much vs other parts of the world, particularly here and NZ.

Yeah it's just the sealant for the EVO Strut tower bracing on top...
That's what I was thinking it was too - which is why I was confused about the comments indicating there was something bad going on. The LHS reinforcement looks like it's been modified to ensure the VIN is visible, or is that my imagination?

He says :
I've been the only Australian registered owner of this car and purchased it on 27/05/01, when it had done around 94,000kms. I oversaw the entire Vic Roads compliance and engineering process and ensured all work that was required to meet ADR’s was done to the highest of standards.
Dribble Dribble Dribble.
It's not yellow plated, it's not legit.... Simple. I dont even think it has a REPV. SO...
