It's not yellow plated, it's not legit.... Simple. I dont even think it has a REPV. SO...
Really? Why's that? I have owned a 6T9REP facelift VR4 and EVO 1 and they were more legit than the one yellow plate I owned.
Here's a tidy looking RVR SSG for peanuts

The rumour of how "RS2" started I heard was when the TME's came to Australia. They were supposedly based on the RS but with air conditioning, not climate control. Somehow that ended up being an "RS2" spec and spread to other RS models with optional air conditioning.
Didn't someone post an auction pic of that RS having been in an accident and hence why it has E3 kit and not Evo 2?

No that was a different car altogether. That was a car in Sydney.

Thanks for the clarification.
Maybe being an RS, it came in as someones potential rally car (ie rally rego) and then underwent the "rebuild" rego route?

No chance.
I think it would be worth for you to find out for yourself about the different ways cars have been/are/can be registered.

I did. 16 years ago when I bought my car. But, perhaps in that time things have changed. I have been out of the Evo market for a while!

I think you have misunderstood what he means by "rebuild" route.

The smashed RS in Sydney was JimmyEvo's white E3.
Which I was hinting at above without bringing any names into it.

On a serious note, so long as it has been repaired properly, I guess it doesn't matter.
Rowan Atikinson's McLaren F1 was nearly totalled, but that didn't stop people from bidding on it at auction!
