Nice post. The 7's and the 9's look like they make you sit sooooo deep inside the seat giving that extra support :D

AFAIK

E1-6 seats and rails are interchangeable

E7-9 rails dont fit in E1-6 cars (without modification)

I've always thought the black and grey colour scheme looks the best for the interior, so evo 1, 2, 7, 8 MR, 9 all look good to me

Although that said, i'm planning to eventually put the evo 3 recaros in my GSR... lol

After doing a track day in the silly seat of a EvoIX I thought they were puss seats and I was thrown around quite a lot compared to my EvoII seats ;)

I've had the SR3 Recaro's (same as Evo 2-3) and I now have Evo 7 seats. Evo 7 win hands down.
Evo 8 and 9 ADM bases are dogs balls though. Made for the average 100kg american male.
The best track seats are definately 7-9 JDM seats. They won't be worn to all buggery either

I like how the TME VI Evo seats have little rubber dots to help keep you in place. :D

And as far as I know, as long as you use the original mounting points you can fit any seat. I saw it on http://www.dotars.go...adr_online.aspx It's very easy to remember, ADR69. (Aust. Design Rule)
In my previous car a sparco fixed back was included in the engineer's report, So in my current car I modified the standard rails to fit aftermarket seats.

But having that printed out and kept in the glovebox is just extra insurance if you get into greif about it by theose lovely gentlemen with the flashing lights.

Why would you bother? 1.5k for a seat base exactly like the VR4's (offers no support) only leather
