thanks to a friend for posting this.

A new shipment well 2 anyways of the new E92 m3 arrived at the dealership yesterday. I was quite excited at looking/experiencing one in the flesh. My initial thoughts were, wow its here cant wait to hear it rev, check out the engine and all the other mumbo jumbo.
The sound of it bouncing off the rev limiter was just fantastic especially at the higher revs where the distinct induction noise starts. But I still think the older E46 M3 sounded better (especially the CSL model).
Now with the exterior, at first I liked what I saw from a distance, where all the small details shows its something more then just a normal E92. Up close however I realised that the car is just bland, a better way to put it is Plastic fantastic it certainly doesnt look exciting compared to when u put a normal E46 3series and an E46 M3 side by side, this just have the same presence as any normal E92. Maybe the look or feel may grow on me over time but these are my initial thoughts. For 157000 rrp (so probably close to 170K on road) I would rather get the 335coupe or wait a while for the 135coupe for a lot cheaper or wait for the audi S5 to come out which is a much better build quality then the M3.
Hopefully when the M3 sedan does come out it will give a better presence then the coupe.
I think BMW should make a CSL, the car seems rushed for some reason, heck even the wheels on this car were from the E46.
Will update this when I get to be part of the test drive.

hmmm.. not good first perceptions of the beamer, especially about the interior where they have excelled in luxury models before.

Isn't an M supposed to be a sleeper though? I always thought the V10 M5 was a bit too over the top....

Although 4 doors? WTF.... now the M5 has to have 6.

I wasn't too keen on them from the photos, but after seeing one in the flesh... :D

I've only ever driven a '98 M3. Fucking lethal thing, and it was red too so it went -even- faster.

Gotta say I'd rather wait for the S5 also. Quattro! Or maybe the RS4, don't make me choose!
