Hey all, i'm just wondering when the key is turned to on, and all the lights on the instrument cluster light up, are they all supposed to light up?
I'm just wondering because the following ones don't on the left side:
Check Engine
(!)
And on the right side:
Only anti-lock light is on (and never turns off, no one can find out why though) the rest of the lights are off
So anyway, does everyone elses clusters light every single one up?
Cheers

My ABS light would flash when I drove the car down to the Gong to get sprayed... Since I got the car back it has never flashed ... I thought at first it was cause I converted it to twin caliper instead of the stock single...
The check engine light should not be on though... When was the last time the car was serviced ???

Moved on from the DSM powered Sonata who put out 238kw @ the wheels .... To a GSR 2.0L that is now engineered ..

Yeah i've given up on trying to figure out the ABS light, it's not really a problem so it isn't a priority for me right now
And the check engine light isn't on, i'm just wondering if its meant to come on when the ignition is turned on before the engine starts, as it doesn't light up (nor do the few others that i mentioned) whereas the other little icons do light up

At start up all reds come on, and stagger tuning off.
Abs light can be faulty unit, sensor/s pick ups and hubs, sensor wires damaged, dont leave out the possible failures the abs unit either or abs module bolted under centre consol to the tailshaft tunnel.

isnt there an ABS relay behind the headlight which can get sticky - if so you can tap it with a screwdriver head to see if that does anything
or is that only to fix up the clicking noises it makes??
