Am looking into availability and $ for a 4G15 or 4G93 engine for a mate's CE Lancer. SOHC or DOHC (preferred!)

Any assistance in helping me in tracking one down for him would be appreciated.

Cheers

Thanks for the responses guys.

Another question - will the 4G15 twin-cam head fit on a SOHC block?

Wow there.
As old as this is, the 4g15 is similar to the g63. The 93 is a whole different engine.
This is as it applies to the evo 0-3 setups but cant see any difference in the ce range

Btw welcome jazz

Jack of all, thanks for the welcoming .. also thanks for the info .. always wondered if 4G93 block could match the 4G15 head ... and the answer now is NOO !!

So, from what you say ... what kinda suggestion for blocks would match the 4G15 DOHC head !!

Well herons out a ce style head on an early Evo block. So I would assume that the heads would still work the other way around too

Well seeing as you ask I would put in a sonata engine. Cheap and plentiful and a mitsubishi engine with a different badge.
What one you ask. Try a g4jp this is in the 2002→ sonata and basically a evo8 engine with different pistons. Leave it na for now and put a evo 9 turbo and pistons in later.
Buy a smashed sonata from pickles or fowles and go from there.

I havent done this conversion but there is a fair bit in google about the engines. Do your research yourself its only my idea/opinion
