he also said that i should get a stock airbox and remove the panel filter and put the pod in there which according to him is legal, as long as the pod isnt sucking in engine bay air.

Man, I've heard a million excuses as to why pod filters are illegal, but that one takes the cake.

oh coz the 2 vicroads guys who i was talking to was saying that pod filters are illegal coz "the suck in under bonnet air which is hot and being a turbo charged engine it retards the engine and it doesnt meet epa exhaust gas regs" so he tells me.
he also said that i should get a stock airbox and remove the panel filter and put the pod in there which according to him is legal, as long as the pod isnt sucking in engine bay air.
lol what a chump. I would have told him quite clearly to get fucked! Just get a stock GSR/ EVO box for the roady and swap back to yours when youre done....
id lend you mine if I had one, but unfortunately im in the same boat as you!!!

the EPA law states that you can either have an modified intercooler setup or a Pod filter, not both, also i dont think having both is a roadworthy thing.

pfft what a crock of donkey doo you can have both but pod must be in enclosed airbox with one inlet only, IC piping can be modified
both parts once engineered will pass

That totally sucks then....
fugg the POD/air box, do the piping there's more to gain in piping than a pod on standard ic piping.
