What colour should I paint the VR4?
I know it's my car and I should paint it how I want etc. I just need some ideas at the moment as I haven't thought about it for long.
I've done what I want to do engine wise, street trim 11s (street interior, wheels and 98ron fuel).
Open to suggestions, throw them at me.
:?: What colour?
:?: What style?
 Two tone?
 Two tone with an airbrush strip to separate top and bottom?
 Candy?
 Harlequin?
 Metallic?
 Flat straight paint?
 Satin?
So many options, I have no f'in idea. I've seen some pretty crazy jobs, and then I've seen some pretty crazy jobs that look like ass.

Definite no to harlequin. They look rubbish on cars without a lot of shape. I reckon they only look good on bikes, or maybe cars with a lot of shape. Big flat areas with nothing to break it up, yuck! You could do a two tone painting the body one colour, and the plastics (bumpers, door moulds, etc) another colour.) I thought about this but couldn't think of two colours I'd like to use this way.
My other options were that new Subaru Liberty colour, the dark blue metallic -- I've got the colour code written down somewhere if you're interested. Or that bright rally blue on the WRXs, though I'm not sure that'd suit too well either. Or dark metallic red similar to a Honda Accord with a jet black roof and pillars (with a dark tint, fuck yeah,) maybe an airbrushed section to divide the black from red on the rear quarter? Although the black roof is a bit taxi.
I decided I don't need any attention though, so I'm going old stock Sophia White.

So general consensus at the moment is to keep it RS white?
Buuuttt it looks so, plain? What could I do to toughen it up?

Not really keen on that... Looks like a penguin, or try hard drift spec etc.

Over kill with white.
I reckon that GSr would look good with Black wheels. And the number plate plastic black with red reflector thingy.
The bar looks crap on the aswell
Just my 2cents

I love two tone paint jobs - might be because deep down, I'm a VL turbo nut.
I've often wondered what a two tone GSR would look like, and after seeing that, I know I won't be doing it anytime in the future
My thoughts were having the part below the bump strips on the doors one colour and the rest of the top another colour, but I'm still not convinced.

You can buy samco hoses to suit Evo 1-3 off the shelf .. I've often wondered if they'll fit VR4 conversions since the radiator is the same. Is the thermostat housing and the lower water pipe the same on E1-3?

the lower hose works fine, but the top one is too short. (If you try using a E1-3 samco hose kit) The Tstat housing on a VR4 motor is further back than the evo one..
