ECU Differences

Is there any difference between pin outs/ecu in an

EVO1
EVO2
EVO3
Galant VR4?

Could you in theory use a EVO 3 ecu in a EVO1 (Plug and play application)
Or EVO 3 ECU in a VR4?

Any information, differences etc would be great.

i'm pretty sure all evo ecu's are interchangable. not sure about the vr4 though, i think they're different.

evos yes... evo to VR4 no.. different pins..

So.. if i were to purchase a GSR with EVO engine conversion and ecu. I could fit a Power FC

EVO goes into GSR
GSR goes into Evo (never heard of that before unless its chipped!)

and yer if the powerfc bolts into an evo.. yer you can use it with a evo converted gsr.

The GSR ECU will 'run' a VR4 or EVO engine using a EVO or GSR engine loom. It's enough to get it up and running and driving... you cant get up it obviously. Good for when you do a EVO/VR4 engine conversion into a GSR as you can still drive the car on and off a car float etc
