Geesh, hats now going to open up a market for Mitsu between the stock Lancer and EVO X... where we have always hoped for a new GSR model to fill in the gap, this new Ralliart version is awesome! It comes with most of the EVO X gear so people who cant afford an EVO X have a cheaper way out

To be honest after reading that I'm dissapointed.
Too fat (3,512 pounds/1,580kgs) and no proper gearbox.

I got excited when you said $28k, then read the article and realised it's from the US.
I guess we'll be expecting ~$45k+ here?

If it doesn't sell like hot cakes, I don't know what will. And it's about bloody time Mitsubishi filled a gap in the market with something worthwhile rather than plastering a lancer with stickers, pinstripes, alloy wheels and a ralliart badge. I sure this will be a winner.

The exchange rate doesn't mean squat unfortunately. As the article says, the E10 is $33k over there, and they're gonna be what? Almost 60k here?my bad... the exchange rate is nearly even so i cant imagine it been more than mid 30's ... are they even coming to australia ? ... we get nothing here

I've heard it will be 37990 plus ORC.
EVO X and GSR have been delayed here due to huge sales in the US.

They will be launching the Evo X here around August last I was told by the sales guys. They wont sell the Ralliart Lancers until a few months later as Mitsubishi want as many people to fork out for the Evo before they find out that the Ralliart Lancer is much cheaper and almost as quick.
I think for the price they are a decent car, well marketed and researched and very competitive with the gay ass WRX. And atleast my workshop gets the Ralliart Lancer....can't wait to do my first pre Delivery check!

they are pretty heavy but the gearboxes are good, you have to try it out, Ive driven lots of the VRX models with the padle shifts, and I give it 2 thumbs up

Australia's demand for them is so small compared to the US, so Japan concetrate sales towards them.

how come NZ has had them for months and months?? You'd think they'd be the last people to get them!
They should just have the JDM models shipped here, instead of releasing A-spec ones.

evo's have been on a downhill trend since the TME... everything TME on has been crap, heavy, slow .... thats the yank influence i guess. its more of a pretty luxury car now.. no more the feel every bump on the road and angry....
id still sell out and get the X

So if its detuned can you retune it to the same power as the EVO X???
The Lancer Ralliart is powered by the same 2.0-litre DOHC MIVEC intercooler/turbocharged engine found in the new EVO but it is detuned to 177kW. The Ralliart spec also receives the highly anticipated Twin Clutch SST automated manual transmission.
So if its detuned can you retune it to the same power as the EVO X???
