Drivers side suspension installed, unsure whether I'll fit my current brakes or not. I'm tempted to get new rims, pump the guards and fit evo 8 brembos.

Profiled the Gvr4 intermediate shaft hanger to fit the cordia today. Easy work using the mill. No bashing of the sump thus far, we will have to see about the tri joint though.

So it seems I was wasting some of my time machining the areas to clear the sump since the tri joint did not clear anyway. Here is the massaged sump.
IMG_8692.jpg
This bulge was just touching the rubber boot by a bee's dick amount
20151205_211608.jpg
Bolted an old front case to a spare sump, bulge turns out to be the casting off the oil pump (the pickup flange to be exact). lucky I took my time and was gentle with the dead blow.
IMG_8700.jpg
IMG_8702.jpg
Obviously I could not get the sump any further in, so with new boots, grease and outer cv, I clamped the tie down nice and tight.....aaaaaand, she fits with enough clearance! It turns out the boot was too far over the cup and not tied down properly

I shortened the mount, relocated the alt and will go hydroelectric power steering to clean up the engine bay. All this allows removal of the front cast bracket.

All the a2w gear is from frozenboost.com

Are you running their external water tank as well?
You might find that you'll need it if you plan on running decent boost through that system.

How much time do you spend in a parking lot with your performance car? If you do a lot of parking lot driving, and hang out in parking lots, chances are you are a ricer, go home and read import tuner. If you’re complaining about noise you should not be modifying your car. You should also consider no longer being a man, please hand in your genitals at the door.

My recommendation is a separate tank that allows you to also add an ice mix and bypass the heat exchanger.

The added volume will reduce the heat soaking. Once the heat is in, hard to remove.

I would recommend a drain valve and easy filling cap also.

Ice will take it below ambient. You will make huge power gains down low with this.
The added weight for your fwd will also be useful if you find a good place at the front of the car.

Yep, i be fappin.
I put a air bleed in the highest spot of the air cooler and ran it to the little cap (same as you have) or your cooler will be only half full of water as the air will be trapped inside.

my stupid cap is lh thread, is yours?

Still a street car so ice is not an option ATM, plus I have no room for it.
The front heat ex has a drain but it sits too high for it to be useful. Ill fit something down low near the pump.

Are you running their external water tank as well?
You might find that you'll need it if you plan on running decent boost through that system.

The setup will be closed loop, with an overflow system. I will data log and see how I go with the large front heat exchanger.

Yep, mines left hand thread, It ruined my brain when I first found out. I still don't get it.

Thanks mate, for the kind words.

Update time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was never really happy with the welds on the piping from the previous post, too much oxidation which I was not happy with. I began working on fitment, It was quite good before but now I can get it perfect.

I upgraded to a dual flow gas regulator and a 28mm gas lens to properly flood the outer and purge the inner of the pipe, here is the setup

Another peak at the 3" dump...... this will flow better than anything off the self. Downside however, is that the front pipe will need to be removed for oil filter changes (more on this later).

IMG_8774.jpg

Four sets of intercooler pipes later the welds are finally at a standard I am happy with. Ohh..... and I wasn't joking about the four sets

Nice work there. Gotta back gas stainless or its poo. I changed to a wire feeder for stainless. Might be easier for me.

I have been busy working on the new 3" dump back exhaust, here is a pic

20160320_203343.jpg
IMG_20160228_WA0000.jpg
IMG_20160228_WA0001.jpg

For anyone interested the components are as follows:
Venom 5" 100cell cat, (largest available)
Xforce 6x14" mid muffler,
Xforce MP03 6x10x16" rear muffler
Jmfab 304ss turbo flange
3x 3" Vibrant V-bands
304ss 76x1.6mm wall piping (1.2mm was not available)
304ss 45x1.6mm      "         (wastegate)
12.7x1.6mm tube (mounts)

The mufflers selected are the largest volume that would fit the body in an attempt to keep the car relatively quiet. The exhaust is body hugging tight and sits as high as possible to maintain a legal ride height. At this stage, the control arms sit parallel with the floor and the lowest part of the car is approximately 120mm. I could go lower but at this stage don't want to mess with corrections to roll centre.
