evo 2-3 have a smaller(17mm i think) front sway bar and the links mount to the side of the front struts.
not 100% but if you use the right bushes i would hazard a guess and say that they would if you get the right bushes, arms and struts to keep the alignment all correct

but will the evo bar mount up to the gsr crossmember with the right bushes?
Yes they will as long as you have the correct sized bushes for the sway bar and the correct shocks to suit you can run evo sway bar and shocks with side mounted off the shock E2,3 sway bar on a gsr evo1

There is no clearance or alignment issue's whats so ever with fitting evo 2.3 sway bars and shocks onto a gsr or evo one with the original lower control arms.Consideration would have to be given to the eyelet placement on the E2/3 swaybar as it could place the link at such a crazy angle to bolt onto the lower control arm on a GSR/E1. You'd want to make sure it wasnt going to kill links all the time. The GSR/EVO1 swaybar is good as it is and you should really use the correct swaybar for the suspension setup. If you dont have the EVO 2/3 struts to mount the E2/3 swaybar onto then consider getting Proton GTi front struts instead (same thing - not the hubs however).

Keep the GTi setup as its the same design as EVO 2/3!!! Only the hubs are different in GTi's as they use the 4x100 PCD 13" hub and mount the tie rod end from the bottom, not the top as the EVO 2/3. I've just gone through this same thing with a mates conversion for engineering. 2 weeks ago I did an E2 full front end suspension and K-frame conversion into a GSR, and last week did comparisons between GTi vs EVO 2/3 front suspension. Tomorrow I'm putting GTi suspension into a CC Lancer coupe. (busy boy). You can read up on the findings here: http://evocoupe.net/...t=3584&start=30 . I've just put up pics here http://orion2001.gal...u/Angelo?page=3 to show you and others that GTi suspension, swaybar, link and strut setup is the same as EVO 2/3. The lower control arm and hub are different.
Yeah Libz, if you have the E2/3 shocks and E2/3 swaybar then there wont be any issues. I thought you meant using E2/3 swaybar and linking to GSR/E1 lower control arms.

A GSR K-frame is no different to your GTi K-frame Shauny! GSR/ GLXi Lancers and GTi and M21 Protons all have the same K-frame and crossmember.

Here we go again
GSR K-Frame has completely different North South support captured bolts positioning to match the dog legged Nth/Sth support for clearance for an awd gearbox & transfer case.
If you are running a fwd gear box! what ever the engine is in there? you are better off keeping the GTi kframe as it is made for a fwd gear box
Look at it this way use the KFrame that matches the gear box you are using

The GSR K-frame wont offer any difference to his GTi K-frame for his purposes (as he is using a FWD gearbox he doesnt need the GSR K-frame and crossmember). If he is going to go AWD box then yeah, he will have to change them.
He should keep the GTi setup as its the same strut and swaybar link design as EVO 2/3.
