Bathurst lost me when some marketing twit decided that I would rather watch just two types of custom built taxi cars that I could never buy and never drive on the street, than watch a great variety of everyday cars that you could go and test drive the next day.
Bring back the glory days of real men racing everyday cars.

Isn't that the idea of GTP?? Which i personally prefer to watch.
V8 supercars has it's place, just look at the crowd it attracts. Toyota, Nissan, etc should build a 4 door sallon with a V8 and enter it.
till then, Holdens the choice

I doubt they would be allowed to enter even if they wanted too. Look what happened the last time Nissan Australia got serious with the R32 GTR's, Holden and Ford got quite simply flogged!Toyota, Nissan, etc should build a 4 door saloon with a V8 and enter it.
Give me Super Tourers, Nations Cup and GTP anyday.
Actually, better still, let the Japanese bring their JGTC race cars over .

I'll probably watch it. Used to be a HRT man but Skaife is the biggest tosser in the sport so now I just watch it with no real allegiance.
Meanwhile Targa West on TV last week was awesome. Way better than the V8 Supercars crap..

I was a holden man a few years ago, not anymore lol
But i saw the v8's when they came to perth and all things aside it made for good spectating.
And the drift cars came out that was good to.
Ppl say they are under tyred and over powered, makes for more crash's and fun i recon its all for the everyday spectators.
Me i dont really give s shit who wins as long as theres some good racing (trading paint)

I wish I could see that race where the R32 GTR kicks ass.
I hear people talk about it alot, but never got to see it myself.
Would've been awesome I reckon!

Try races, infact nearly every race, and especially when it rained.
