#319723 FS: Stroked 2.4ltr 4WD Turbo Street / Track GSR Lancer

Posted by JETGSR on 07 July 2015 - 04:47 AM

PRICE DROP #3  $10000  back on the market

Regreatable sale of my road⁄track project, It started life as a Std Aussie Lancer GSR 1.8ltr Turbo 4WD. It is far from standard now as most parts have been upgraded and replaced by bigger better goodies. It isn't the prettiest kid on the block but it sure has all the goods to be one of the toughest on the block.

All I can say, it is very exciting to drive. I'm selling it as an UNFINISHED PROJECT as it still needs a decent dyno tune, a few bits put back onto the car and some minor tiding up. (it is fully roadworthy and drivable)

It has many upgrades and is practicaly track ready (I have track tested it once at lakeside raceway - it was very impressive and with a few tweeks could easily shave seconds off it's time of 63secs)

Here is a list of just some of the upgrades

2.4 ltr stroked 4G63 engine, gt3082 turbo with cast s⁄s manifold and tial external wastegate. Engine has JE pistons, eagle rods, HKS Head gasket, grouted block, light head porting, 272 cams, Fluidamper harmonic balancer, custom plenium chamber, 2000 cc injectors, Full EGT's probes, Blitz EBC, and larger throttle body.(engine rebuilt approx 6000kms ago)

Has a Haltech PS1000 ECU, 3 fuel pumps running E85 fuel, but is fitted with a fuel flex sensor should you wish to run normal unleaded as well as E85 ethanol.

Brakes are AP 4 spot calipers and 330mm rotors on the front. (these are purpose built for this model vechicle ) costing $4000 just for the front end.

Suspension is a full set of BC ER coilovers adjustable bump and rebound with external canisters. Most engine mounts and suspension bushes are all upgraded.

17 inch wheels are fitted to clear the massive 330mm brakes on the front.

Interior is pretty neat for this age car, Techedge wideband o2 is fitted, oil pressure guage and shift light sit around the steering wheel, an OMP fixed bucket race seat is fitted for the driver hold you firmly in place when cornering along with Willans Harnesses

Exterior : now this car was actually white, but has been painted in Mate Black plastidip, as it is very easy to repair minor scratches with out repainting the whole panel.

There are MANY other mods not listed,

Has NO stereo fitted but all cabling and circuit breakers are in place for serious system.

And many spares.negotiable with price

The Last dyno tune on pump fuel gave 350 hp at the wheels at 18psi, but E85 is a safer fuel for tuning hence the change over.

I'll be sad to see it go, but with work I just dont have the time anymore to get it finished.

So genuine inquiries only, no joyriders, This is a local sale.

Anyone that drives this will fall in love with the way it drives and handles not to mention it's power so make sure you have your money ready as it won't last long.

$13000 neg  $12000 NEG  $10000 or 9k without extras

Located - South side Brisbane Logan Area

I see too many young kids in high powered cars sitting on the side of the road with the front end stoved in because they were too immature to handle a dirty old commodore or better still dads new ford ute.

Can you imagine the phone call from the parent :fuuuuu:

but the car does mean Business

It's not a show car .... it's a race car  ;)

#297433 So when's the next meetup

Posted by JETGSR on 30 March 2014 - 02:09 AM

bring your CBR mo you might have a chance at keeping up :)

#297432 So when's the next meetup

Posted by JETGSR on 30 March 2014 - 02:08 AM

we could organise something !

I'm keen before I sell mine.

could meet up at my restaurant Serranos in Beenleigh

have a feed then go up through tamborine across the goat track to Canungra then up to beechmont

down to advance town and through Narang back onto the hwy and everyone heads home from there.

best thing with tambo and beechmont you can simply stick with the speed limit all the way and still have a shit load of fun

you just do 60 and 80 all the way including the corners :)

(the goat track has claimed hundreds of cars ... many magic moments on there , myself included)

there are a few corners that need to be taken at 20kph - seriously!!!

been driving the road for 20 years  (old fart alert)

Just a thought

none of you blokes in melbourne must have a job? or you all drive taxi's

you are all out driving around lookin at cars.

here in queensland if you want to see flash cars you just go down to the police impound yard.
they will nic you for just about anything these days up here.

No such thing a cruising down to the Gold Coast it becomes an expensive trip these days.

#271185 PAR 1-4th Dogbox - New (GSR/EVO1-3) + misc parts

Posted by JETGSR on 10 February 2013 - 11:25 AM

that box is tempting but I had a few issues with PAR on one of my Subie Dog boxes.
considering I've been quoted $6600 on a PPG that price isn't bad. but yes drop that redline!

Hmmm what to sell to get the $$$ ...???

#269856 GSR wont start

Posted by JETGSR on 17 January 2013 - 02:10 PM

check your battery earths to motor
I had an issue where the strut tower was getting hot while struggling to crank.

I had twin battery system eath cables everywhere, saw smoke coming up from the left strut tower??? while trying to turn it over.
earthed from block to K frame on passenger side (coz theres a threaded nut in the Kframe.there)
and VAROOM! not had a problem since.

the alarm will have a low voltage chirp or when you crank, it dips below the 9volts more units classify as no volts
so you will get the sick canary tone. it will only be seeing low voltage due to earth issues

#259589 unusual clicking under acceleration

Posted by JETGSR on 21 July 2012 - 12:59 PM

rubber band is coming loose.

it is probably split and the hairy bit keeps flicking around and hitting the underside of the dash.

I changed mine last week - now is goes off like a frog in a sock!

#252626 Anti Lag?

Posted by JETGSR on 18 March 2012 - 11:39 AM

It looks like if the foot isn't on the accelerator it must go bang!
sounds like new years day at 12:00.01am but in the scrub!

#208058 Quartermaster V Drive Clutch assembly

Posted by JETGSR on 11 August 2010 - 12:59 PM

This is a assembly guide for a Quartermaster V Drive twin plate clutch.

The reason I decided to do this is after searching the internet I was unable to find any info on assembly with pictures
showing the differences between the friction plates, at first glance they look identical, and if installed incorrectly your clutch will not function correctly!

First - in order from Flywheel to gearbox
1 - Flywheel
2 - friction disc part number F25S9312 QMI rivets facing the engine.
3 - floater plate (fits in any position and either side)
4 - 2nd friction disc part number F27S9011 QMI rivets facing floater plate and engine
5 - pressure plate (flat side facing engine)
6 - clutch cover

If you look at the pictures you can see the difference between the friction discs
on one of them the back of the center hub is flush with the plate surface, the other disc is recessed slightly, these must be placed in the correct order
or the nose of the fristion plates will touch and it will defeat the purpose of having a flash twin plate.

there is only about 1.4mm of clearence between the two plates, doesn't sound like much but it is the difference between your clutch working or not!

this may seem obvious to some but if you miss these slight differences it means you will need to remove the gearbox to fix it later!

I hope this helps.
