Hey all,

As some will know I'm Ex-Novo now in Townsville as of about 18 months ago

Had an NA Supra then a TT Sup before moving on to an Evo Tommi Mak. Miss the Supra for day to day on the street fun but the Evo is an all round better car which really shows on the track. Would really love an FD RX-7 or a Supra as a weekend fun car + an Evo in the garage for racing.

Up here there's bugger all street car scene, compared to Newcastle, but Townsvilles got its own drag strip, sprint racing track (which is actually a Kart track) and has a local hill climb as well which makes the local legit racing scene very strong. Although Townsvilles racing scene isn't perfect, Newcastle could definitely learn a thing about giving auto enthusiasts an outlet.

Anyway I'm not really into drag racing but the Evo runs a a 12.7 @ 108 which is okay IMO. I'm mostly into the Sprint racing which is pretty competitive up here. We've got a few GT-R's that compete and 6 or 7 evos as well as the regular bunch of misc Nissans, RX7's etc so it's hard work being competitive. Hillclimb is pretty good fun but it's a bloody fast run so big HP rules. I've only run twice and managed to jag a win first time out and a 3rd last time but realistically I'd need double my puny power level to be regularly competitve (without using my front bar as a bulldozer for the tyre barriers!)

Hope this weather lets up for a day

In a nutshell I booked accommodation that was advertised as 4.5 stars, newly refurbed and have a king size bed. The place turned out to be a complete shithole with a Queen sized bed.

Now I know that wotif.com are just the middle man in all of this but I'm annoyed with them because I think the onus is on them to ensure the accuracy of descriptions of the accommodation they're selling on their site. I realise they can't send some wotif rep out to inspect every ad, but when it all turns to shit shouldn't they take some responsibility? or make some effort to right the wrong?

Opinions?

Hey Guys,

Broke my rear drive shaft at the drags tonight

It snapped where it goes into the transfer case. Looks like the spline on the prop and in the transfer case have been damaged.

Anyone had this happen before and know about potential cost? I've a feeling I'm going to be poor
