Ok

I had a look under the dash, farken shit wires everywhere in my car, lol anyway... i can see the antenna cable, it is clipped along the bar above the steering wheel, runs down and then up into the inside of the car, behind the A-Pillar, just like Paul said.
No way I'd be able to change that cable without moving the dashboard, and I have nfi how hard and how to do it.

So I'll try your way, I assume that means your just changing the antenna not the cable right, so how do you connect the old antenna cable to the new antenna (which I'm sure the cable is fine btw)? Were your issues the same as mine, or yours completely farked?
Any difference between the Mitsu aerial (~$75) and a generic one's (Aerpro AP154) (~$15-$30)? ebay ryda madelectronics soundmaster

Cheers.

Dont know about generic types, i replaced mine with a genuine one, radio was dropping out previously, when i replaced mine it worked fine. 2 Minutes to replace!

Just undo the 8mm nut at the top of the aerial mast, no need to pull out it from the inside. These were the quickest aerials to replace bitd. I just changed mine, new one cost me about $75, its a geniune Mitso one and my radio works fine now. Speak to Travis aka (SIVART) from this forum, he'll hook you up with one.
