Hi all, after somebody hit my gsr last year and bent all my ass end, i'm needing a replacement chassis.
I'm looking for a body in good condition, preferably with doors and body panels (saves repainting) but either way..
Also preferably in nsw, but would travel for the right item as freighing a car can easily outcost it.
Let me know whats out there, as i want to put 1 gsr back on the road...

#310271 ECM vs Stand alone

Posted by CYBORG-X on 27 November 2014 - 11:41 AM

Ecm link beats most other set ups apart from going full haltech or link ect. Those tables can be manipulated really well, and alot of settings can be changed... the only problem i get pissed off with is the knock sensor... kinda has a mind of its own..

Non standard ecu must still meet emissions in nsw.

#297340 Thoughts on head design benefits

Once cams are dialed in, you Advance your exhaust cam.. you never retard it..
And you advance your inlet cam usually half to start with
Problem with big cams is the overlap, and loss of captive effort untill the airspeed matches the cams.
Play with the cam timing.
Its all about testing...

#284245 turbo porting/deburing

long story short, with a rough surface the air passing through forms a tiny layer of turbulence around the edges of the pipe/port, but this allows the air to pass through extremely quickly. if its smoothe, the air sticks to the surface like rain on glass, causing friction in the air passing over it, thus slowing it down.

#283672 4g93p/4g93t fly wheel shaving

Posted by CYBORG-X on 01 September 2013 - 12:22 PM

fyi, I run lightened flywheels in both of my gsr's, both satria's, and fitting one on my new motor box combo and have had plenty of R&D on them

#281081 Hylomar

Posted by CYBORG-X on 26 July 2013 - 01:32 PM

mls has hylomar on them, and some of you may not know coolant stops adheasion... you should run engine with water only to full operating temp for 15min or longer, then after let fully cool, then replace with coolant. what happens is, very tiny amounts of coolant seep into the tiny machining grooves and get trapped... causing a section the hylomar dosent melt into, thus giving a path for easier escape of combustion gasses

#276881 What is the ideal weight for a 93 gsr flywheel

Posted by CYBORG-X on 15 May 2013 - 12:52 PM

my first one i took 15% off, then about 25%.. now im at about 35%...
you can take shitloads out,
and yes, i checked it all out with an automotive and mechanical engineer, they said it was still very safe

#272336 what mods can I do to a stock 4g93t?

Posted by CYBORG-X on 02 March 2013 - 12:01 PM

rip your td04, manifold and dump off, port and flow every last mm of it. bolt back on... all of a sudden the car goes like a rocket...
if you want to do exhaust upgrade, and i/c upgrade then go to the td05... a ported td04 is about the limit it will go with all stock components....

#253143 Seam Welding Engine Bay in EVO1-3

Posted by CYBORG-X on 29 March 2012 - 11:52 AM

dont do a full seam weld, as it stresses the steel and it mkes the car completely unrepairable (if you have a small prang, it bends and you cant pull it back) do inch on inch off

#221185 GSR/satria cams

Posted by CYBORG-X on 10 January 2011 - 10:00 AM

does anyone no if the 4g93 from the satria and lancer gsr have the same cam duration/profile?

no, they are different
the satria has a longer duration, where as gsr has a higher lift
