You're on the right track with the Nimbus bar. They have a different radius where it meets the rear quarter. The mod has been done by someone here, can't remember who though. It looked really neat though, I'd like to mod my bar the same.

Mod was done by me :) used a nimbus bar and grafted the flare/mudguard section off my HSG bar.

Allowed me to remove the massive steel support bar and the swing arm heaps of weight gone.... and looks so much cleaner i think.

I was going to run a mould of it and make fibreglass ones but need a few people to want it first :)

#323897 Automatic Transmission Upgrades

Posted by MrConsistent on 28 October 2015 - 12:12 AM

So a little bit of an update my T/C is flaring and "loose" won't run over 308awkw.... Tuner even lowered the boost down to 21psi, need to find someone that can make one that works properly for my setup....that being said off the mark full boost at 3200rpm stall and brakes can't hold me (even brembos) and rolling 80kms full boost as soon as i floor it

Just did Temora 1000 only got one good run in ( missed one from alternator belt fail, then had a plug obliterate itself) Went well 21 second time with a top of 226kph

Box performed flawlessly all changes firm with no slip even 4th gear held at full noise.

Once the T/C is fixed I should be able to reach higher power and continue to accelerate at higher speeds.

Hi mate, Aldo mentioned that your running a borg warner turbo?
If so, which one are you running and what's the spool like?

EFR 7670 1.09 twin scroll.

Spool is great full boost off the line stall up at 3800rpm (tune was done before i found a boost leak so retune required hope that makes it even better)

Cams not adjusted yet (0DEG) and tune was fairly safe still quite a bit more adjustment in timing to go...AND

the bloke that did the install of the turbo didn't do the manifold correctly for twin scroll though so missing out on some advantages there too....

But 303AWKW at 25psi on E85 and of course with an auto is not bad  :P

Talk to Rockabilly, AKA Aldo does the best builds for forum members only I'm running 300awkw hope for 400 ish after re-tune and the box handles it fine

Fast changes and all the supporting work to the internals to hold it together....

#318028 hsgr auto. strong?

Posted by MrConsistent on 24 May 2015 - 08:48 AM

Still working on a solution for that A mate and myself are playing with a 2 line LCD display and logic programming using the 12v feed to the old lights to make it display the info... still getting the code to work have got to the point where can get several things on the display and working like TPS % DOOR "E" brake and so on but struggling to get the P,N,R,D,2,L to switch :fuuuuu: ..... will look great and i think it will fit in the right hand side section of buttons (moving the one button that is there to the other side)

And the indicators and high beam are built into the speedo :)

I like the instrument cluster mate!

http://www.speedhut.com/

Very happy with them, and just grind out the standard cluster(had a spare) removed the clear section and got a plastics shop to cut the face plate, sikaflexed it all together

most of their gauges come with senders and everything you need the only thing i had to source was a speed pulse gen from a FTO which was a easy wiring job to hook up for the speedo,

get to pick your own logos or pictures to put on the gauge face too

Mine at Jambo 2 years ago before spinning a big end.... but the big build is almost done , and the list is soooo long, and the car is as fast as a rat up a pipe  just need to get the new suspension in (big thanks to Aldo for the parts) and get a welded center diff in ...again thanks to Aldo.

And then off to the track hope to be pushing close to 400AWKW currently 303AWKW on a "E85 run in tune"

2nd pic is at Cars and Coffee nearly done  :P

My God!!!!  Tell us more about your speedo set up?  And do you have a build thread?

A bit too busy/lazy for a build thread my RVR is scattered all over different pages....

The speedo, Tacho and quad gauges came from Speedhut over in the states Love them the speedo works on a electrical pulse i used a sender from a Mitsi GTO (screws straight in Just make sure you get the little shaft also :P  )

Tap in the wires for turn signals and high beam, the speedo pulses are just programmed in so it is very accurate .5 of a KM according to my gps

The tacho easy as to hook up and the quad Fuel/Batt/Temp/Oil pressure comes with all senders and the fuel is programmable

The whole thing sits in an old gauge cluster that i just cut out so the stock mounting bits are all there just cut out a new face for the gauges.

This i what I have done in mine a 7" touch screen in standard spot is not only pretty useless but also a bit dangerous so custom housing and in easy sight and reach
