Car Restoration

Hey All,

I just found this site which is from a Tuning company in Finland who do some pretty cool restoration work.

Sure its not Mitsubishi, but it is Rally related :-)

Its an ex Group B Celica which was driven by Juha Kankkunen in the 1985 Hong Kong Rally.

When people say ground up restoration, they are generally lying becuase this really is a complete restoration. I love the bit with the intrument restoration and the way in which they clean all the bolts.

Details about the car:

Full Service History
Rebuilt Gearbox, which involved 2nd, 3rd and 5th gear Syncros, 3rd-4th selector and all new bearings and seals including front and centre diff. 6000km old, and running Castrol Syntrans for last 5000km.

Advanti SA11 17x7 wheels with 95%+ Toyo Proxes 4

2.5" Cat Back, front portion is standard

K&N Air Filter

Whiteline 18mm Rear Sway Bar

Whiteline Anti Lift/Max Castor Bushes and Camber Bolts

Uprated Front Sway Bar Bushes

20 000km KYB Shocks all round sitting in standard springs

Front RDA slotted rotors running Bendix Advance pads, rear have about 2 machinings left in them and are running Bendix Advance pads also. All above 70% meat in them.

Engine has done around 220 000, and has run BP Corse Plus mineral oil in it since I have had it. Seems to keep the lifters quiet as they only rattle first thing on a cold morning. New Rocker cover gasket, cam seals, front main seal (rear main is still good). Water Pump at 187 000 along with cam belt. Next service will see the Alt, Power Str & A/C belts replaced. It has Mitsu service before me. It is running the stock 9-10psi and always has as the lines are all still intact.

Bits I have not on the car but could be sold seperate:

VR4 RS intercooler, EVO 1 RS I/C piping, EVO 2 Fiberglass front bar (w'out support bracket or bottom lip), mesh for bar, lots of mandrel bends for an intercooler install.
