Posted by GeeKz on 05 March 2012 - 04:25 AM

Not meaning to revive an old thread, but was the first post blank? Or is my mobular just buggered?

Then next post says its epic. What's epic bro, what? I know the definition of epic. I am just curious as to what is being described as such.

Cheers.

I wanna be down too.

#251508 Clutch Install help

Posted by GeeKz on 29 February 2012 - 04:40 AM

Thanks lads for the replies. Its very much appreciated. :)

Though the clutch is fitted via bazeng's recommended guy and I know its not 100 % as of yet, surprisingly after the first week or so of breaking it in and everything seems to be falling onto place. Though the clutch friction is still the same as when I left the workshop, the drivability has improved alot. Thankfully it's not as bad as the mechanic thought it may be. Which I'm thankful for that. Did a better job of it than he thought I geuss. Hehe anyways i'd be glad to recommend him to anyone if you want me to. Hehe also can you let him know to let e know when or if he could round up the other bits and pieces. Thanks again barry for the hookup as I really do appreciate it as your guy did go out of his way to do extra bits and pieces which he didn't have to
do, but did at a great rate without compromise to work quality. But most importantly a great bloke to deal with and not someone who tries to take you for what they can. In fact the complete opposite. That's how much I appreciated his help that I felt compelled to let others know too. Though I didn't mention him directly as I'm insure as to wether he'd want the extra business or not. LoL.

haha good point. i geuss i kind of get carried away at times with the ranting. though as post counts are really quite an insignifcant point and if that was my point i would have seperated that one post into a few different posts and so on, but yes i do agree with the rest of what you said.

i guess after hearing what he went through and then thinking back about how disappointed with their work too i was, though i cant be anywhere near as pissy as i imagine he may be.

Though early december last year isn't really too long ago when you think about it. A couple of months for trying to take things through the legal path seems reasonable and i was just wondering if he got any progress with it.

About the grammer and spelling - when ranting I at times forget to check myself. which makes me feel all the more the fool when i think back about it. hmm... i recall i commented on another thread about something along those lines and i think i did state that it's a "no-no" for reasons i dont think anyone reading this part of the forum would be interested in. Also something i said to someone else but i'll leave it as that.

The threat wasnt really a threat but more a suggestive idea, of sorts. i didn't say "Yo, i'm gonna drive-by you" or nothing like that. just a bad brainstorm that may have come out wrong?

But seriously, Yes, thanks. you obviously are right about what you said. i really did get carried away a lil toooo much. my apologies if it came across the wrong way.

my bad, lads.

Have you had any progress yet? get your gear and car back and dosh yet? i am really curious as to how to went also. Being that my engine was supposedly done by them folks too and i have to say it aint exactly top notch. Hell, far from it!

obvi9ously they need to learn the english definition of "Professional." if you're evo experts and cant even get it right, how da heck you expect anyone else to take their car to your buttock?

even something simple as wiring the brake indicatoe on the dash. half the icons dont work and a couple are wired to something else. like wtf?

if you take something off someone's car, put it the fudge bAck on! unless you have prior permission. i got less an a/c and radiator fan.
so on hot days i'm fried till i get it done good and proper. and fried is the least of my problem. the mofo overheats when its really hot. thank god its zippy and i get around in good time or else i'd b like the egg on that taubmans paint commercial.

its not cheap to get someone to buy and fit and engine but if you pay someone thousands, like four or so, you'd expect a decent and proper job. but no, not these specialists. lol

also taxed my a/c pipping from condenser to cabin. dirty busters!

i hope things worked out for you and best of luck finding a proper tuner as theres so many dodgy ones as so many people i know have so many horror stories. this one kept his wrx for a whole 2 years almost. his back seats got stolen from the "tuner's" workshop and they expected him to replace it himself when they're the ones who didnt look after the car properly.
then when we finally had enough he finally supposedly "Recieved the STi engine from japan".
this "expert tuner" who once told me he does "EVERYTHING" didnt know how to put the damn thing in. my friend had to bring in another wrx for him to copy from. like wtf? you're supposed to know this shit and it dont take years to do shit like that. fine a month at worse but 2 years...
then after finish wiring everything up and supposed giving it a better tune with a few mods, my friend decided to dyno his car. see what progress he has achieved with his 15 large. took it to an independant dyno... strapped it in....

"vrooom vrooom.... ka BOOM!"

this was a couple days after he recieved the car. so he went to the "tuner" to demand his money back but nup. he claims that its not his fault because the dyno people must have done something to the car.

damn dodgy wannabe tuners!
take your car for a service there and it feels no different. he tells you how superior his "TURBO" engine oil is. pfft. one day i decided to try out a different oil and service mcar y car myself and just the better oil made such a big difference that i almost felt like a turbo virgin again as boost came on as strong as i remember when i first had the car.
even when i had an accident in my wrx, mr " i do everything" claimed he could fix and panel beat everything. fair dinkum i sAID. i'll give ya a go.
since its panel beating and not mechanicals.
i had the drivetrain and most things replaced as good as new except for a lil re-alignment needed for the chasis. hell, if i were strong enough or had decent tools could probably do it myself. but this tuner/smash repair guy couldnt do nothing. nor suggest nothing as he didnt have the pulling machine... as he put it.
dodgy ass fudges who make such big claims and cant back it up. it cost me a shit load of money to tow the car there and back and to another place. wasted so much time and money on crap mofos. at least some other people tell you straight up if they had the capabilities to do things or not... those honest ones you feel you can trust as they obviously dont make bs claims and tell you if its too big for them. its just the mr know it all and do it all who probably seem too many fast and furious videos they think they can do it too.
or just to boast "yeah, i worked on this car, that car".

people like them that waste pplz times and money should sign a thing that states that if they cant back up their claim, you have the right to physically harm them if you feel the need if they dont reimburse all your funds back if they cant back up the claim. otherwise you can chop, shoot, punch the crap out of them without them being able to charge or sue you or anything as they brought it upon themselves.

=)

thats how i feel sometimes when them bastards do that shit to ur pride and joy then steal from you and not give you anything back.

hehe

just my two cents.... blabbered two cents, but two cents none the less :D

#249995 4g speed

Posted by GeeKz on 05 February 2012 - 12:35 PM

LOL
may not concern "US" but it concerns moi!
i really wanna get the htc 4g for the 4g connection as i spend a shit load of time downloading on my phone. why? damn inlaws are friggin tight arses!

#249993 when is enough

Posted by GeeKz on 05 February 2012 - 12:16 PM

isnt it obvious, bro? if you have to ask then that kind of lets us know she's really not as important to you as may think.
:o
when my missus pointed out to me what she thought my priorities were... once upon a time... it was quite obvious!

stay with her and give the impression that she comes first... all the while spending what i could on the car but if she doesnt know much about cars as you say then it should be easy to pass off a complete engine rebuild as a full service.

state that the turbo timer and boost ctrl and forgies are to make the car "better" and more "reliable"!
if the boost controller was 500, say it was on sale, a second hand or only a hundred bucks. :P

most of them arent lies either. others... a little stretchy but if you can convince yourself then it'd you'd pull it off more convincingly!
note: keep reciept where she'll never look - where spare wheel is - as she wont look there. she'd sooner call you before she even pulls up the carpet to change a flat.
B)

save what you can or what she expects of you and when you're alone, no more red bulls of coffees! just buy mi goreng or other cheap noodles for lunch and you'd have alot saved in no time at all! that way you can get some decent goodies every few months!

that way you get to keep the car AND the girl!

i'm sure alot of people can relate to what i'm saying. in one part or another and maybe can recommend some strategies/suggestions on what to say and where to sacrifice.

Wonder: about the fmic. When I wrote that there was no reply yet but close to a hundred views. Geuss your brain can't seem to understand that. I can't expect someone with a low understanding of anything like yours to understand the concept of time nor percentage. Being that of a hundred votes the response was zero. So what's the percentile of that, kid?

Also of note, my response was with a light friendly mood/gesture. Where as yours obviously wasn't. At least it seems like you're trying to sound like a prick.

:fuuuuu:  :finger:

#247460 Fwd 4G93T clutch replacement

Posted by GeeKz on 26 December 2011 - 09:24 AM

you should get a worked gearbox and clutch. hehe like mine. supposedly the guy i bought the car off claims that it had a "WORKED" gearbox. or at least gears. claiming its got some "extra spring" in it to keep it protected. hehe supposely thats what it is that makes my first gear wanna jump out on high rev launches. have to keep my hand on the damn thing everytime i take off. should ask him where he got that mod done. hehe might be a cheaper option 4 ya. he's on this forum somewhere too.... hehe

#247453 Wild Weather

Posted by GeeKz on 26 December 2011 - 03:13 AM

fortunately the hail wasn't anywhere near as bad as last few previous years hail storms. Only hailed lightly for a join or two then it was just hard rain in dandy. Which was fortunate as my baby was sandwiched between a couple of lazy peoples' cars who seem scared of water. If I didn't know them, I may have thought they were the wicked witch of the west. Sorry sis.

#247197 Hi from an Older Newby

welcome old timer. dont worry, i feel old too amongst most of these lads. lol who knows, we may even be the same generation? hehe
i like your generation of galants. you got style and class with ooph. or should i say performance.
compared to them other cars you mentioned, you get economy and yo have the get up when you need it. instead of always guzzling juice all the time, regardless of wether its performing or not. lol waste of fuel.
so you made a wise decision, my friend. :D

#247190 Word filter

Posted by GeeKz on 18 December 2011 - 03:05 AM

I would love to read that study, sounds like it could be another high quality study from Monash university.

txt spk had its day, with the old Nokirea's before predictive text messaging, when double and triple tapping meant spelling a word took two dozen indentation's to the thumb.

anyone who is using it now either,

  • has a 10 year old Nokia (with internet access??)
  • too retarded to spell or < 6 years old)
  • too lazy to hit the extra fucking key
  • thinks it makes them look cool to teh chicks
  • their friends do it, so they do it to fit in (see retards, they group together)

it just plain makes whoever is typing it look like lazy fuck. doesn’t matter if the word is spelt wrong, lest you managed the motor skills to hit the fucking key.

Yeah you tell them morons, bro! They make car enthusiasts look dumb, lazy and illiterate.
It really doesn't help our image. Especially when it's not true. At least in my case I know it's not true. I'm sure I'm not the only car enthusiast who has had a decent education. Nor do I want others to think the worse of our community. Many of us can do things the average person can't. Why downgrade our image anymore by being too darn lazy to press a key to type a word. It's not even an EXTRA key as it is a part of the word so can't be classified as an "extra".
as little and insignificant as it may seem, a key here, an abuse there, a lil road rage somewhere else. Suddenly all modified car drivers are dumb, rude, troublesome people and suddenly everyone is against us. nothing anything anyone of us does is insignificant. It will make a difference one way or another. If not now, then at some point later. If not significant to you, then to another person.
A young person may jump on and may start to believe that it's normal and accepted in society to write that way and their english will deteriorate. I must admit that even at times I find myself accidentally writing like that on official documents. An employer would find you lazy or dumb and probably won't employ you.
See how something so insignificant can make a huge difference to someone insignificant to you but there are repocussions wether slight or not.
