WRECKING: RVR HSG - ALL PARTS AVAILABLE

Hey guys,

 

I have decided to part out my RVR after the timing belt skipped some teeth on the driveway one morning.

 

 

Here is a run down of the car:

 

 

17xxxxkm's

td05 16g

3" turbo back with divorce pipe for the wastegate

Head rebuilt with 8 new valves, 8 new brass guides, valve stem seals, 3mm hole lifters... I will have to check for damage.

Exedy HD clutch with 433km's on it

ARP head studs

Cometic MLS head gasket

New CAS

Evo 8 enkei rims x5. 

 

 

Here is a list of parts and rough prices,

 

 

Exedy HD clutch with 433km's on it - $250

Evo X bilsteinsfront set has been slightly modified to work with the RVR top hat - the rear require drilling or cutting off the bottom mount and welding the RVR mount on - $400- Front set SOLD

Evo VII Enkei's x5 $600, A bit of rash on some but nothing extreme. The 5th one is awesome condition.

Stock RVR wheels x5 - $150 two tyres are at about 95% and the others around 60-70%

ARP head studs, $50 they were only torqued  down the once. SOLD

TDO5 16g + stock manifold - $200 I am not a expert with turbos, but it seems to have stuff all shaft play. The only downside is a stud is snapped in the exhaust housing. SOLD Pending payment

Rebuilt head - 8x new valves, 8x new guides, new valve stem seals, decked, acid bathed, 3mm lifters. Price will depend on whether it is damaged or not. SOLD

Ferrea titanium valve spring retainers to suit evo 1-7 - $80 -NEW

EVO 9 beehive valve springs - $30 -USED

New set of viton valve stem seals - $15   SOLD 

Euroexport valve spring remover tool - $60 This thing is awesome and made specifically for the 4G63 engine. - USED SOLD 

EVO VI brake master cylinder to suit Brembo conversion - $150

Rear KYB shocks from a nimbus, less than a 1000km's - $50

Engine Block - 17XXXXkm's, pistons have a couple of valve strikes on them and might  need rings but apart from that it was perfect - $??? SOLD

Transfer case - no noticeable noises that I heard - $???

Gearbox- 17XXXXkm's 2nd gear synchro a bit funny when cold. $???

New middle driveshaft bearing and carrier, it is from a GVR4 but was told it fits the RVR - $40

Cutting my losses

Hey guys,

 

 

I have been putting off this post for a week now, but the time has come and I can no longer hold off. 

 

I won't go into too much detail, but the gist of it is I lost my job a month back and basically have not been able to find another one, so on top of the mortgage, bills, living expenses and most likely in the midst of a separation, the RVR decided to skip a tooth on the driveway (well that is my assumption) two weeks ago, the irony being I had just finished typing out a carsales/gumtree/forum/eBay ad for it the night before. 

 

So with the rego coming up in a month I honestly I can't afford it.

 

The car didn't fire that morning I cold started it on the driveway, so I am hoping the damage is minimal. So the point of this post is to see if I can generate some interest in parts from it so I can decide whether to part it out or not as I can barely afford to run my house let alone dumping more money into this car.

The car had only travelled 433km's since rebuilding the head, timing belt and etc...

 

Things I will be keeping are the GFB GeForce II, Mtx-l and the front seats if it gets parted out.

 

 

If anyone is interested in any parts let me know so I can decide whether to wreck it or not, every part/panel is available and photos can be taken upon request.

*sigh* Car wont run properly after timing belt/head rebuild!

Hey guys,

 

 

I am trying to get this thing started but all that happens is it runs rough for a second or two then dies? I have tried swapping spark leads around. I even rotated the cam sensor pickup thing in the back of the camshaft. 

 

My compression results are ok so would it be safe to assume my timing is not out?

 

 

 

Any ideas guys??? Please help me :(


Turbo to manifold gasket HSG

Hey guys I am urgently trying to track down a turbo to exhaust manifold gasket for a big 16g, the ones I have found at record and bursons have been 14g.

So it would be awesome anyone knows where I can get one or has the part number for it.

It's the last thing holding my car up from getting back on the road.

RVR HSG Camshafts

Hey guys, I am just trying to work out if my cams are stock or not. They are stamped 274 and 273 and the only I have found says something about a 272 FFWD-DKS camshafts.

On a side note my engine is back together, all I am waiting on is the exedy HD clutch to turn up and it should be right to go.
