You can bolt in a single board ECU to your prefacelift loom man. Swapping looms over would be a headache, plus the plugs on your coil pack and cam angle sensor will end up being be different. 

To fit a single board ECU, you will need to swap pin 6 and pin 14 around. Don't forget to earth the ECU properly with the bolt when it comes to re-fitting it. Here's a link to the pinouts below:

While the ECU is out I would strongly suggest replacing the capacitors. Any TV repair shop should be able to do it. Hopefully it's already been done whilst the board was socketed for your new chip.

 

Another thing to inspect is your knock sensor. It's under the intake manifold on the back of the block. Pull it out and if the adhesive has leaked, it's time for a new one. I have seen phantom knock retard so much timing it equated to 25kw atw power loss!

does it mater wat colour the wires are as long as you swap pin 6 with pin 14 cuz my wire colours are different
