FS 1992 VR4 For Sale

11 December 2017 - 08:05 AM

FOR SALE: 1992 GALANT VR4 IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.

Sadly, I have to sell my beloved VR4.

The car is completely original except for leather seats and shortened selectors. In 2016 I had the cylinder head overhauled, two new exhaust valves, timing belt, radiator, and fuel pump. In 2017 - new tyres, rear muffler, tie rod end, transfer case seals and steering rack boot. Complete service history and receipts. Odometer reading 215,600 approx.  I have spent around $6500 on the car in the last two years

This is an amazing car and a very reluctant sale. Selling with 8 months rego and RWC.   Please contact Richard on 0406 044 711 or [email protected]

$13,500 (North Fitzroy, Vic) *Reduced price as of 06 Jan 2018. Need to sell ASAP.

headlight for 1992 VR4 (drivers / right hand side)

13 February 2017 - 06:19 AM

Hello again,

I posted recently on the search for an ignition assembly for my vr4 - which thankfully I managed to track down, so thanks heaps to all who contributed.

I'm now in the process of getting a roadworthy and as luck would have it - there is a crack in the driver's side headlight which will get knocked back for a RWC.  Would anyone have an idea where I might find a replacement (driver's side AUS / right hand side if left hand drive) headlight?

Thanks heaps!

ignition lock assembly 1992 VR4 galant

23 January 2017 - 08:12 AM

Hi there,

I haven't posted for a while as my beautiful VR4 was out of action with (among a few other things) a blown exhaust valve.  Anyway, I got her back and is running perfectly - until some 'bright spark' tried unsuccessfully to steal her a couple of weeks ago.

They really wanted this car and consequently absolutely destroyed the ignition casing and cover by levering out the barrel.  It was only the hidden kill switch that saved her from being taken.

My auto electrician has been trying to find the parts for the past 10 days, even contacting New Zealand but has been unable to come up with anything.

Would anyone have any ideas as to where I could possibly find an ignition lock assembly?

Thanks heaps.
