In Topic: just bought an rvr 1994 sport gear

Wow thats interesting, I understand that the rvr's 4g63t block does not have the under bore oil squirters aswell?

I did a search of that hyundai 2.0litre engine, is it the G4CP engine? Damn they look like a 87-90 galant engine, the inlets look so similar

Doesnt the cb lancer have roll stops on the block like a vr4? If so, the rvr doesnt have these on the engine, they are on the gearbox.
is this something you have considered?

Ahh i did not know this, I thought maybe they had them on the gearbox like ce/cd9a lancers, Maybe i could get my friend to make a custom crossmember/ either way, back to the drawing board !

Thanks, guys, sorry for the delayed reply for that was for good reason, I took all of you're advice and

yep, I certainly took it to get inspected, everything  was actually fine how it was!, all they did was a leak down test and it checked out fine.

just spent the last 2 nights putting the g6k-4 head on, lubricated the cams and lifters, torqued it down, cambelt, got oil pressure , then started it first pop!

The lifters were a bit noisey but they quietened down after a few mins,

thanks very  much for you're help guys :D

Did u fix ur bad clacking noise first?

Na...cams will hide that racket!

Drop in and go. Done that a few times. As to whether they do anything by give a lump idle is another story

Hahaha yeah, it was my original intention, that'll hide the noise ;) ..Okay cool Ive just found the issue the other day, simply whipped the head of and the valve is f***d, Any way I've thrown on another head for now, which is all machined and valve guide seals replaced ,skimmed etc.

I'd like a nice lope to accompany my 3inch straight through exhuast :D
