Pair of fully working mirrors will cone with enough wiring to get them to work $250
All 4 doors, will come complete without mirrors and wiring for mirrors drivers door has a couple of small dents in them and the window regarding doesn't work in the drivers door. $200 the lot
Tail lights and centre garnish $100
Rear bumper bar $100
Front gaurds sold the pair, left one is not perfect but easily repaired
Damaged bonnet might be repairable to the right person $100
Intercooler setup, passenger side pipe is damaged as you can see $100

If anyone wants what's left as a whole it will be $1500 or cheaper as parts get sold off it

Fold in mirror fix

25 July 2016 - 02:01 PM

Thought this might be handy for a few people. Wad trying to get the mirrors to work on the evo1 wreck here before I remove them, first problem was that weren't adjusting real well, could only get them to move up and down so pulled the switch apart and found the contacts to be dirty and a couple of dry solder joints.
Cleaned the contacts and re soldered the joints and got the mirrors adjusting properly.
Then the second problem was the mirrors were not folding in, first of all check the switch was putting out the correct voltage which it was so found the control box for it, now I was getting 12v to the correct pins when I was supposed to and had good 12v and earth to the box but no out put to the mirrors so I pulled the box apart to check out what was inside it, first off I though one of the tracks was burnt out but they all tested fine then I noticed one of the capacitors had blown it's ass out, so Un soldered it and new one back in its place, put it back in the car and now working 100%
And here's a couple of pics with the new cap in place. Little black capacitor on the top right of the board, about 20c to buy.

4g powered escort

19 July 2016 - 10:08 AM

As mentioned in my introduction thread I will be trying to get this mk1 escort back on the road. Previously the car was running a 2.4 with a gsr head but before that it was a standard turbo 4g63 gsr engine, behind the engine is a supra 5 speed and hilux diff car also has a few other modifications done aswell.
Anyway here is a few photos for now as it all sits plus the donor car for the engine, and yes the evo is a write off.

New member Childers

16 July 2016 - 02:50 PM

Joined up here after doing a bit of research on early 4g63 engines.
The car I'm playing with is not a mitsubishi but will be and has been powered buy a 4g63 before. Just got hold of a wrecked evo1 to get the Motor out of so the project will be moving ahead soon.
