    stroker engine, nice! you should be able to run pretty high boost with the right air/fuel ratios and keeping detonation away, I run up to 28psi at times, daily 25psi. now dont take this the wrong way but why build a good engine using good bits etc then skimp out on getting actual aftermarket...

    shocks how come fulcrum dont have teins for evo 1? they should be the same as normal australian cc gsrs as I have priced some up before. Tein directly from japan are hard no matter what setting. Hence why fulcrum revalve them to suit australian road conditions, i think they are trying to say...

    maybe the underlying issue here is the hard launch? Wear and tear over time causes failures. I have had the same breakage and it was due to high revs and sidestepping clutch, went clunk (bang). Also reverted itself to rear wheel drive mode (lots of fun) but still driveable (noisy) as I drove it...
