Few evo pics from today (56k get a cup of coffee)

I've seen it off the trailer and it's a bloody impressive car on the circuit .. I'm hoping it's coming down for superlap next week so I can see it again. Was there a white r32 gtr out there by any chance?

    ralliart lancer

The exchange rate doesn't mean squat unfortunately. As the article says, the E10 is $33k over there, and they're gonna be what? Almost 60k here?

    ralliart lancer

I got excited when you said $28k, then read the article and realised it's from the US. I guess we'll be expecting ~$45k+ here?

    EVO X - 10.9 1/4 mile - 1.4 60 ft

I'd like to see the entire list of modifications before comparing it to anything the GTR has done.

Battery relocation to boot + Walbro install

The optima ones are bloody good. A mate of mine used to have a some kind of stereo setup in his rex (apparently it was awesome, but i know nothing about stereos  ) .. at one of our BBQs, he had it running for about 4 hours pretty loud and the car still started first time when it was done.

Battery relocation to boot + Walbro install

I use a PC680 in my car and I've had a mixed experience with them. The car had one in it when I bought it, and it was pretty shit - About 4-5 days without starting and the car would need to be jump started. I bought an optima to replace it and put in the boot, but one day the PC680 shat itself...

Aftermarket header on Evo? Yes/No? Ebay.

My (steam pipe) manifold is painted black with VHT paint and it's held up alright, though has discoloured around the collector. As Dougmo suggested, get it cereamic coated - you can get it done in a couple of different finishes, either a shiny silver kind or a matte black finish, both look good...

Aftermarket header on Evo? Yes/No? Ebay.

Save your money and spend it on something else. If it's a 'rally' car, definitely stick with the stock cast manifold - they're far more resilient to cracking/fatigue/damage than an aftermarket steam pipe manifold is going to be, especially a cheapy chinese ebay special. If it does crack at any...

    Boost Controllers for E1-3 4g63t's

If you're gonna use an eboost, make sure you use the eboost2, they're far better than the earlier ones. I haven't used one personally, but their configuration abilities seem head and shoulders above it's competitiors. In the past, I've had and seen good success with the blitz dual solenoid...

    looksy

I remember seeing that car at CRD about 3 years ago .. going by the add it sounds like it still isn't finished. I'd probably want to get rid of it too after that time.

Nissan drivers probly a drifter doing a drug run

Yeah, it has an RB26 .. it's a mate of a mate. Pretty stout car, saw it roll up 280rwkw at a dyno night a few months back.

    Surge tank

Plumb the return line from the fuel rail into your surge tank (second highest fitting) and then return the highest fitting from the surge tank into your tank. This ensures there's always plenty of fuel in the surge tank. Consider mounting the tank outside your car if you don't want it to smell...

haltech gtr runs 11.1 on pump gas

Yeah, I thought the thing would be a doddle to drive with all it's electronic trickery, but I have a mate who's driven that actual car, and apparently you actually need a bit of practice with it. The 11.1 was the only decent pass from it all day - it also ran an 11.8 and a 12.40 that I saw...
