Friend has blown his engine, needs a replacement. Just curious who people around here would recommend for a decent condition evo engine, no turbo, starter, ecu wiring etc needed. Or ballpark figure they paid for one / where at, happy with the outcome ..etc. If you got one lying around, price...

How much did you get charged for this service ? If u don't mind me asking .. Jaycar sell a "digital speedo corrector" which work on the same principle as a tacho, cost like 40$ odd. Thought some1 might've used that in order to overcome this issue.

Was thinking the same thing, wasn't sure if any1 used parts out of Hyundai clusters (running 4g engines) to sort this issue out.

Just doing the finishing touches on a 4G63T conversion (into a CC lancer) and i've managed to get the tacho pulse, however it's completely off. Basically the engine idles but the tacho on the cluster shows about 200rpm needle barely lifts. Whilst driving around it gets up to about 1000rpm, but...

Been trying to find (without luck) TPS settings for 1G 4G63T Engine. Fond the N/A settings, however I'm not certain if they're different . Any information on the topic / links etc. would be great. Thanks in advance .

Doing a conversion on a lancer cc (4G93 to 4G63), and the old radiator hose won't fit. Curious if there a dayco etc.. alternative for a top radiator hose for a evo 2. If anybody have a part number ? Thanks in advance .

Just curious, are the evo 1-2-3 tps, the same in the 2L DOHC N/A engines ?

Ugh .. yes they have, unfortunately none of them we're suitable for Rvr .. Which i would've thought had the same pinout as an evo .

Hmm.. i didn't really consider using the standard 1.8 N/A ecu simply because i thought it was a different engine all together, DOHC, turbo, 2l instead of SOHC, N/A, 1.8. I would've thought the new engine would require different mapping etc. Unless you're implying i should use the existing...

Yep, spigot bearing was removed, wasn't much of a bearing .. more like a sleeve . But yes, that's done. Got one, actually .. got a few flywheels now :( trial and error. Current problem is spark, so no gearbox smashing for now ..

After rvr / evo 1-2-3 wiring loom and ecu to suit manual gearbox. Or alternatively ecu pinout diagram, which i can't seem to find.. Thanks in advance .

Thanks clutz, again, seems u've been quite helpful in the other thread as well. I've already got those manuals, not very detailed as far as what ecu wires go where. Hence my current delema. Got no spark, nor injector pulse, thinking ether have to bypass inhibitor switch or tranny ecu.. Both...

I'm 1/2 way through a conversion, and i'm after the ecu pinout for a auto rvr. Long story short, finally got the engine in, starter going, fuel pump, but no spark. The loom / ecu is out of an auto rvr, and i'm trying to get it going with a FWD manual gearbox. I have feeling i'll have to loop...

Just a quick update for later reference if someone needs it .. Got an L300 flywheel, crank bolts line up, however flywheel is oversize for the stock lancer fwd gearbox (FM22). :o

Crankshaft bolts will fit, however uncertain about overall flywheel diameter (bell housing clearance being a fwd gearbox) , would anybody be willing to measure a 4G63T flywheel for me? Or have a link for specifications ? Thanks in advance.

Just about to start a conversion, putting an 4G63t in a cc coupe (x 4g93), was wondering what engine mounts i can use? Other than an evo engine mount (since anything that has "evo" labeled to it has a 300% price tag increase). I've searched forums etc.. but there isn't any definite info. Any...
