    WTB: ERL T3 manifold

Theres many many nice manifolds but im not up for spending 1k just on a manifold. Im after after a more reasonable priced manifold hence a cast one, not ebay thin tubular crap the will crack. Im going to make a black heat shield for it for a close to stock look and likely heat wrap it as well...

    WTB: ERL T3 manifold

Wanted: ERL T3 manifold. Prefer used. Or Redjack racing t3 manifold If you have any other high end tubular T3 manifolds let me know what you have. I will research fitment of what i plan to use; likely a HX40 in BEP T3 .70 housing, or hta3582, 6262. (If looking to offload any of these in t3...

    New clutch what to get

Ive read very good things about the south bend, (the kevlar disk on both sides looks the same as design as my clutchnet unit) the link below has very good descriptions with personal experience of the setups by TMZ. The owner Tim Zimmerman is very well regaurded in the DSM drag racing community...

    I hate fidanza cam gears!!

The gears would be balanced, but do u think it would make much of a differnce, theres so many forces on the cam like the valve spring pressures varying as it rotates (for eg, moving the cams when doing a timing belt requires force at each increment of differnt valves opening). Would a small...

    WTB: Vr4 alloy radiator

WHy not use the 1.1 bar one, a higher pressure cap raises the boiling point of the coolant

    I hate fidanza cam gears!!

Just a random idea, i considered slotting a hole though the back next to one of the existing bolts, and installing another bolt (on say just 1/5 of the bolts), that way if it slips it hits the second bolt and reduced how far it can slide. It might only go say 6-8* rather than the full 12*...

    Suggested Oil for 4G93T

If its smoking stick with a 15W50 or 20W50. Stay away form the thinnner 10W40 and 10W30. Penrite advertise on the bottle they have a good ammount of zinc in their oils (the HPR and SIN series not the enviro ones) which is a good lubricant for turbo's.

Go big or go home hey Baz? :P

    brisbane tuners who do ecm?

Hiring a dyno, how easy is it operate and not waste time figuring out how to use it? Im used to street tuning the ecmlink. Ive thought about it to dial my cams in (especialy on the new motor in the future) and experiment with differnt slightly differnt afr's. I have an idea of what works from...

Re-install motor with all belts and ancillaries on?

Wouldnt it be easier to do the intake manifold before dropping the engine (and gearbox) in? I pulled the motor out easy enough wiht it still on. I agree with lifting it on an angle with the gearbox lower to get it in.

Benifits of using turbo oil feed line from filter housing

People often need to run a restrictor when feeding from the OFH. Ball bearing turbos run a smaller restrictor than journal bearing due to requiring less oil, some have it built in so check that. Garrett and pte journal bearing turbos are known to often blow seals when running too much oil...

    Which stroker

Putting a 4g64 in the car, will that create a hassle if you had to clear a defect? What about bringing a car over from another state and registering it, the inspection center would have a field day?

    Timing belt change

Good idea to do the bearings as well and a GENUINE Mitsi Tensioner. Look at extremepsi for these also (create an account with your shipping address and the shipping quotes are more reasonable than just selecting australia.) If you dont change the tensioner, at least make sure who ever changes...

    Which stroker

Theres manley cranks also. About the same price as Eagle (wish they made 6 bolt cranks!). Another option as the eagle cranks seem to lack the quality. Everyone still swears by the rods though. And less than half the price of K1 and nitto. Either Eagle or manley cranks with whatever rods and...

    Timing belt change

I looked at that link, thats the balance shaft belt. T167(R) is the timing belt u need. Make sure you/the mechanic changes the balance shaft belt as well (or consider the balance shaft delete).

    knock sensor

Im running an 808 ecu and ecmlink. From memory is just switched the one wire around you do from going from a duel board to single board. Is it possible i should be running a differnt knock sensor that came with the ecu rather than the stock on (prefacelift j-spec running a dual board ecu stock)?

    Dump pipe Evo 1-3

Factory evo 3 will likely be plenty. Unless you have a built motor and plan running say 25-30psi, then its possible other units may flow better. If you want aftermarket, these guys make quality O2 housings. Punishment racing Action dan

    Cooler Thermostat

On ecmlink we have coolant offset, so if running a cooler thermostat it compensates, say u run a value of 10*F it will stay in open loop 10*F cooler, start fans 10*C cooler and retard timing due to excessively high coolant temps 10*C cooler. Maybe on your ecu you can do a similar thing? I...

    Cooler Thermostat

If you look up the stock thermostat for your car for eg tridon, the part number will be something like TTxxx-180. So that part number is a 180*F unit. Then you look up all their part numbers with the TTxxx- and they often have others that end in 192, 180 or 170 for eg, for the temp ( in degrees...
