Well, the old Gallant has got to go.

Well, Ebay was as good as a hat full of bumholes. Zero bids. Any ideas of what its worth would be appreciated. I paid $16k for it in the early 90's and sure as eggs, it ain't worth that much. Their list price was something like $32,000 new. I'd be happy with an offer I couldn't refuse. As for...

    Hoon Car Crushed

If you leave an unregistered car on the footpath/ nature strip, they will eventually impound it. If it is passed in at the next sherrifs auction, it will sold for scrap, currently arround $140/ tonne for car bodies at the moment. Its just how the law gets rid of un-claimed cars. They are just...

Well, the old Gallant has got to go.

Nothing like some Campbells fully loaded guy. Even the toe-cutter would be scared of him. Anyone that can surf ski through the bush has my vote. We know who you are, Bronze, we know who you are! Or what about " light me, Johny..." I will change my sig now and then, let me know if i hit your fav.

Well, the old Gallant has got to go.

Thanks CLuTZ, that happened quick. Starting price on the ebay add is $950, 1989 HG Gallant Hatch. White. We all know how ebay works- if someone wants it for the engine, or a light globe, they bid on the whole thing. If I can get enough interest in most of the bits, I'm happy enough to wreck...

4G64. Smokey on start up, not good.

Triton V's Effie update. To bring you up to speed... Raced an F100. Didn't pass him, but didn't loose him. Sat up his arse, so to speak. About equal, I'd say. Triton said "I'll be needing a new motor after that, thanks". Ouch. Drag was equal, but I lost a donk, so Effie 1; Triton 0. Well...

Well, the old Gallant has got to go.

Its time, my freinds, to pass the old girl on to someone, rather than have it sitting under a tree. HG hatch 4G63 5 speed. I have just made a donation and just waiting for clearance to post in the classifieds. In the meantime, 200495826851 ebat item number, but it won't start till tomorrow...

I could only do the first 25 seconds, with little kids in it and all. Just a good reality check.

Hi guys, I need some cash, so I got to sell some bits. I put the bottom end (short motor) on flea-bay. I got to make a donation to list my other stuff here, I'll do it soon. Pretty much a whole Gallant hatch, Danny.

    Cops in Camry's

I can remember when an unmarked cop car consisted of a yellow VL commodore with piggy wheels on it. They were so bloody obvious, they may as well have said "unmarked cop car" on the side. The boys have finnaly got clever. Not that thats good. Even the regular patrol cars are getting harder to...

Keep your eyes out in the classifieds, mate. You might see a 4G64 "short" motor advertised soon, along with a 4G63 sohc maybe. I also have an early carbed 4G54(?)(ex MF triton) that I sold on flea-bay, but it didn't get collected. Gotta love "the bay". Not many Nimbus arrond now mate...

4G64. Smokey on start up, not good.

Hi guys, Its been a while since my last visit. Update on the ol' Triton. Smoke problem had been getting worse, not better (funny 'bout that, it didnt fix itself, or go away). I did something an old guy shouldn't do in a work ute. Gave an F150 a bit of a high speed run. Well I couldnt let a...

Some one that can make me one of these:

I'll give it a go for you. I run my own custom engineering business. I am not an exhaust joint. Between myself and some mates, we can make just about anything out of metal- machining, welding, bending, forming sheet steel, etc. Do you want show, or go on the cheap? Can do in mild steel, mig...

Thanks mate. I didnt get time to do anything on it over the weekend, Ill pull the plugs soon. I still have a lot to learn about fuel injection and diagnosis. I really hope this can be fixed by a sensor, but I have my doubts.

    opinions

Yeah. In my old chrysler days. When plugs would rust and the holes they went in too clever. Usually the one on the gearbox end of the block. You could do them all but that one in the engine bay, so it was never done, until I got the car. When you get the rs pump off, heve a good look for a...

No, it idles nice, even dead cold. Idle speed motor works ok. I know that on Magnas, when the idle speed motor goes, it takes a while, but it cooks caps in the ecu. I'll pull the plugs on w/e, see what they look like. I'm still sus on the rings. EGR valve, thats the little black boy on the...

I shouldnt have to worry about smoke if I use your first suggestion. What do you think I might be up for ($$$ ballpark)? Where is a good place to look for one? Do you think it will bolt to the existing box? The id plate says R5M21 for the trans. Thanks mate. Sorry about the double post- Ill...
