    idle issue

Mine kept doing that, one day it would idle at around 750-800 then after drive for a bit kept idling at 2k. Then it would magically fix itself. Then a week later I'd start it and its revving at 2k. Turned out throttle cable was catching. I put my foot under throttle pedal and pulled it back and...

Boost Issue with 93 CC GSR

Nearly hit to neighbours can with the car today... boosting away. Wow 99cents! Thats crazy! I like look of that turbosmart one and will look at investing in a new valve soon. The stock one is fine for now until I save up some money.

Boost Issue with 93 CC GSR

@Craig I took off the stock and put on a GFB Mach1 (came in the spare parts box that came with the car) didn't make a difference, except that it stalled it heaps. Obviously not tuned properly? Put stock back on.

Boost Issue with 93 CC GSR

It was spark. Looks like a bit of moisture got to one of the plugs so I'm a bit concerned about that. Checked actuator arm + flapper, all fine. replaced fuel filter anyway, pump is functioning fine. Did an oil change. Cleaned Pod. Back in action now. Neighbours cat is safe... for now.

I have read that because the stock ECU uses a mass airflow engine management system that the already metered air is released to atmosphere, so the engine thinks it has more...

BOVs a no no in a GSR?

Hi all, Probably another n00b question here, but are BOVs a no no in GSRs running OEM ECU? I was told I shouldn't have a BOV in my GSR as I will be guzzling fuel and possibly to the point where Im losing power, rough running and irregular idling? I was told to use a bypass valve instead. Can...

Boost Issue with 93 CC GSR

Thanks guys (gals?) for all the quick and helpful replies. @khubner1 I was only just reading about the actuator problems on this forum just before you posted and will be checking that out this weekend. Apparantly a common problem is a pin rusts out that holds the arm onto the flapper? @BMGTZ...

Boost Issue with 93 CC GSR

Hey man. Thanks for replying. I did think that it might of been heat related. I've tried starting it early in the mornings to beat the heat to see if that made a difference, but no dice.

Boost Issue with 93 CC GSR

Hi all, This is my first post here and will most definitely not be the last. Just purchased a 93 CC GSR off a forum member start of last month. Really excited to continue working on this car. The original owner has done a great job so far. The car has been running great up until the last two...
