Dont waste your time cleaning the 1st gen lifters, the time it takes to remove, clean and replace them, only to have them ticking again wiyhin 500km is just not worth it. If they are out, bin them and put in 3G'S. mine were fine until i switched to mobil 1, within 5000km the ticking noise was...
