My 1997 RVR Hyper Sports Gear R is for sale. I am the first Australian owner and it has genuine low km's at 109 000. It has been maintained meticulously and serviced every 5000km with top shelf products. I have the original parts for everything that is modified (apart from the injectors and exhaust manifold which I sold to another member). All of these spare parts can be included in the sale if requested. Receipts can be provided to prove authenticity of servicing and modifications. It is tastefully modified with absolutely no expense spared. All modifications are street legal in QLD including the exhaust and plumb back BOV. It is quite fuel efficient for an RVR and still does around 450km to a tank, or further with highway driving. It has had all major servicing and modifications done by well known, specialist Mitsubishi/evo mechanics (NA Auto sports and APC).

The 100 000 km service is done. It was done early at about 90 000km. All belts, seals and bearings were replaced when the new cam gears/ timing belt were put in. Thermostat was replaced at the same time, and radiator was leak and pressure tested and flushed. Clutch was done at a similar time - and is a custom modified factory Mitsi single plate organic clutch - pedal feels like stock, but bites much harder. It has new cams, cam gears, lifters, springs and retainers in the head. Gearbox has been rebuilt with new bearings, synchros, seals etc. as a precaution, not due to any faults or issues. I can supply with spares including brake pads, brake discs, stock suspension springs, stock fuel pump, fuel reg, cam gears, cams, springs, lifters, air box + filter, intake, front quarter mirror etc. I service it every 5000km with Royal Purple or Motul oils and genuine Mitsi or Ryco filters. I have receipts to prove all of this.
The car is not heavily tuned - it makes about 190kw at all 4 wheels on a very safe tune, and runs a high (18psi) and low (factory 12psi) boost setting through the AVCR. There is probably quite a bit more in it if you wanted to develop it further.
I am looking to sell the vehicle UNREGISTERED as I no longer have the time to sort out a roadworthy - I have 3 other cars, a pregnant wife and a boat to worry about.
There are one or two spots on the roof where the paint has bubbled or discoloured – mostly from the glue where the Jap owner had all sorts of antennas for TV's and other gadgets stuck to the roof. Most of the wheels have some degree of gutter rash. The right hand bottom bolster on the driver's Recaro seat has some minor crush from driver getting in and out as per usual with these seats.
