Does anyone know the reason for the stainless wastegate pipe? That i see done so often....

I have some 50mm stainless bend laying around so i might make the wastegate pipe up out of them..may as well.

By the way...what would you expect to pay for a 2 1/2 Inch 90 degree Mild steel bend?

Ill start with with some prices up here.

Tubebend...wanted $28 for a 90 deg 2 1/2 Inch bend,and $22 for a 45 degree..Mild steel!!

I payed $15 and $11 of Ashmore Exhaust.
