I was going within the speed limit but too fast for that corner. It was a blind corner and the car in front handled it ok so I thought if I go just a bit slower than him I'd be right, seeing that it was a non turbo fwd without abs and stock suspension (Nissan bluebird), I assumed so because I could generally keep up to him. There was also an oncoming car. When the brakes locked up I had to decide whether to hit the other car or go into the green stuff, to be honest it all happened so fast I just tried avoiding the other car, so I left the brakes locked and went into the bush. If it weren't there I could have eased the brakes and went over the line, but it was, and I couldn't expect to do that around a blind corner even if the car infront does.
I found out later that the car infront of me nearly hit the oncoming car and that it was turbocharged awd with abs, whiteline kitted and tokico rear suspension (atessa model).
I'm quite disappointed for losing my first car.
It was my fault for being silly and pushing the car beyond it's limit expecting to know how to counter it.
A few lessons learnt.
Johno's mates were really helpful, probably more helpful than himself, whom instantly started marking which parts he wanted! >.<
Let Jimmy, Eddie and his bro know that I really appreciate their help and attitude will ya Johno.
