4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

Wanted to clarify a couple of things I didn't see mentioned in here already.
I'm doing a VR4 Block, Sonata 7 bolt head engine swap into my GSR, and I want to retain the aircon & power steering. I'm also swapping in an Evo loom (if that helps at all)
So I think my questions are..
-What parts do i need to track down to accomplish this?
-I'm guessing the PS pump bracket changes? -Will I still need that 6 bolt engine mount that sits on the front of the block

Also, do you gain anything from running a crank angle sensor in addition to the cam angle sensor, I saw Kiggly make an adaptor that allows you to fit one to a 6bolt.

I'd imagine you would still retain the 6 bolt air con compressor. I use a 6 bolt PS pump with gsr hoses. And no mount on front of bolt required as the mount is on the gearbox.

I don't have the 6 bolt compressor. I have the GSR Aircon setup currently on the car (4G93). Pretty sure I have the bracket somewhere.

Did you get an ac compressor with the engine? And the driveshaft mount and ac compressor bracket?
No compressor with engine, I do have the passenger side driveshaft with bracket.

I can get aircon parts locally, so it looks like I'll be sorted on that front. Only other thing is the powersteering :)

Another thing I thought of, a crank angle sensor. I run a CT9A ECU on the 4G93, but it has no issues/CEL's without a crank angle sensor, would putting one on the six bolt achieve anything?

Hi guys, my swap will be nearing completion physically soon, will the gsr with evo 7 and e85 tune work for the 4g63 for a short while before I get a retune?
