i have excess stock atm need to get rid of things..

currently have 2 X 3" mufflers which were meant for a full exhaust but they decided to pull out...

they are offset in, center out (or vice versa)

140 X 230 oval and 350 long

one has a dint from shipping but will not make any difference in how it works, only cosmetic...

Aluminized coating

have used these previously and are great for the price, compared to magna flow etc which are double to triple the price..

$110 each.. or both $200

pick up melb for the time being..

cheers
Jerome

any chance of fitting both of these in-line under a gsr/evo?

i had one similar to these installed last week and it's still a little bit noisy.. if you can make them fit, i'd be interested!

in regards to? the mufflers or Gianni turbo charging his car?

On the mufflers obviously, this is a for sale thread? :) ... I'm stuck between a noisy 3" oval muffler and a crap EPA legal 2.5" restrictive piece of shit, which has developed a rattle.

oh yer lol..

they absorbe a sheit load more noise then any straight through muffler, i'm running only one of these on my car and i can drive paste police happily... but it will depend on where it is placed on the system (end, middle etc) and the length of pipe on the exiting end can change note/noise level to a point... if you have a "chrome" tip that enlarges the pipe size, you might as well just take the muffler off completely and run straight pipe.......

i can install if your in melb too...

i dont see how having a 'cannon tip' downstream of the muffler exit will change dB rating of the exhaust. Maybe slightly but not to a significant point.

i have changed a few (insanly big tips) to just straight pipes (matching the rest of the system size) and they do change the note of the system.... it may be small but its enough to notice... the mega phone effect just kills it....

Yeah the one I had on the car before was an oval offset one ... but it was too noisy for me (and the EPA) and I was always paranoid driving it. Too raucous on the freeway as well :) Not as bad as the straight through pipe though (not even a muffler lol).

It would be at the end, I've got a resonator after the cat. The exhaust is 3" from the turbo. It might sound like a crazy idea but would fitting a 2.5" or 2 x 2" outlets (if possible) reduce the noise compared to having a 3" outlet?

fitting 2.5" say 30cm long pipe as a tip will bring down the exhaust note pritty well (its how JASMA plated mufflers and cannons do it, they shrink the interal diam in the exhaust to lower sound levels).... going twin 2" would change the note of the exhaust but considering 2X2" has less of a surface area then a single 3" it should bring the noise level a lil down...

how long is the tip on your car atm? or is it like a dumpy etc? also try shaking your muffler, if it rattles it could be dead already...

This is how the old one looks:

The EPA legal one, a Redback POS, already vibrates when it's cold and it's noisier than when I got it 5000kms or so ago. Sure quietened down the exhaust a lot though and passed the test, but it's junk. It might be a bit tricky to arrange a tip since the muffler is mounted strangely as you'll see in the pic.

if the muffler were to be straigtened up, you could extend the tip or change it to a 2.5" should silence it and you wont loose that noticeable power...

they did it that way cause they were too lazy to put more bends in....
