other places do em for around 1.2k!!

nothing beats DIY! lol.... nah, it was fun being hands on, rather than paying someone else to do it

I can see why people charge so much, it was such a pain in the ass!
but i guess if i made copies it would be easier

we still need to make 1 more bracket, and redo the muffler location, it sits really low
we just wanted to get it finished because it was 2am

the dump pipe location on these cars are horrible!

the clutch slipping is so much more noticeable, but it drives so much better

hits 10psi instantly
cant wait to get the clutch in and more boost!

 WOAH! that looks awesome!!!!!

I love DIY jobs! That one looks really good.

Have you had much experiance with welding? Because if you havn't that is really good for a beginner :D  Even if you have that looks so good.

I know what you mean! :p As soon as i got my flex join and the dead rattly rear muffler re-done the power difference was so noticable. Clutch is very close to being gone. Plant it in 5th and boost comes on up to redline
Im babying it heaps now until i can afford a Jstyle special clutch

I can't take the credit for the welding
My friend did it, I just helped him

I'm never going to put a button clutch on my car (unless I get a daily driver), I drive through Alexandra pde to and from work, and I'm not keen on driving through that with a button clutch

Just wanted to add my congrats on a great looking system. Could you list what bends you used? They look like all 45's and one 90.
Again, great job.

I have a button clutch, and drive my car through the city daily and dont have any problems with it. I probably wouldnt go anything heavyer that what i currently have which is a Exedy Heavy duty button.

Its a single plate, non ceramic, does the job well.

I've driven dre's exedy 3 puk ceramic, and ive driven barrys custom one as well

i dont think i could do it every day, but it would be different if i was used to it i gues

hey mate nice looking zorsty! :D

ive driven dres one its easy as.... the one i have in i thought was heavy compared to dres and mine is a hyper single... one of those extreme things purple ones....

they hold on great tho just depends on what power your looking for i guess!

pretty sure its full face non button.... i didnt install it or really have much to do with it haha!

i wouldnt recommend it if ur going over the 180-200kw mark... not the one i have anywayz.... mine gets a bit spungey after a few launches... but it is getting a lil old now i guess....

i pretty sure the ones jon gets are good.... skuz has one in his vr4 he bought off my bro who bought off jon.... maybe give him a yell!!!

cheers

^^ hey grant how ya goin mate?

k tharaka,

i HAD a exceedy hyper single really good clutch, nice for launching and daily driving. (full faced ceramic) . it was installed in the car before i had it so im not too sure how old it was. after 6 months of me owning the car , the clutch plate cracked badly and dropping some of the springs. this lead to the clutch not being able to dissenguage.

atm i now have one of jon's clutches witch is yer alot lighter in the pressure plate (2000lb vs the 2600 exceedy) and it enguages alot faster being a ceramic button. umm it squeels a bit on take off and yer taking off hills is a bit of a challenge. but yer jon made 200+kw and it costs 600ish it is good value for money. but as you said taco that you live in a fairly dence place so it may not be suitable for ya.

anyways this is an exhaust thread  good on ya mate that is a real nice system for not very much at all.

skuz

sexual!!! very good work mate!!

looks like i gotta make friends with a guy that works at an exhaust place
