Mitsubishi Galant VR4 1990 Jap Spec

This car is seriously quick. It has had over $40,000 spent on it, but from the outside still looks relatively standard

ENGINE

4G63 fully rebuilt 20,000km ago by Bowdrens Race Engines in Albury

Block and crank cryotreated, decked, line bored, xrayed and crack tested

Eagle 800hp forged rods

Aries forged pistons with chromoly and carbon rings

Fully ported and polished head

Ferrea sodium filled valves with titanium retainers and HKS valve springs

HKS headgasket

HKS 272 degree cams

HKS GT3037 Pro S Turbo

TRUST manifold and TRUST wastegate

TRUST 3" exhaust

HKS intercooler

Blitz pod filter

GREDDY blow off valve

HKS oil cooler

Braided lines thru out

Exedy 800hp clutch

EVO drive shafts

FUEL

510cc injectors and Malpassi fuel regulator

Microtech LTX8 with handset

34L fuel cell in boot

Carter lift pump, Bosch Motorsport fuel pump

Braided lines and Earls fittings

SUSPENSION

JIC Coilovers front and rear

Cusco front strut brace

Cusco adjustable strut tops

Cusco rear LSD

WHEELS

Lightweight 17" race wheels and Titanium nuts

205/40/17 Falkens rear

205/40/17 Continentals front

Metal King pads

INTERIOR

Blitz Gauges

Nardi steering wheel

VIPER alarm

Monte Carlo foglights

This car was originally Graham Alexander's (VR4 rally guru) road car

Engine oil changed every 3,000km since rebuild

Originally used Mobil 1 but now use Castrol Edge Race oil recommended by Rob Bacarac

East to start in all conditions including freezing cold mornings

Never been defected and does not draw unwanted attention

Bit of a SLEEPER really

PERFORMANCE

220.4KW @ wheels on 14psi & 1049.9NM of torque

281.9KW @ wheels on 18psi & 1316.7NM of torque

Run 12.0 sec 1/4 mile with 220KW @ wheels on street tyres

Potential to run high 10's or low 11's with slicks and 281.9KW

Only ever drive the car with 220KW on the street

Massive torque!!!!

Engine is built to handle 30psi +

If your game, Microtech would need 2bar MAP sensor upgrade to make 400KW at all 4 wheels

This car really is the ultimate street and track car

Can easily be driven on the street but also turn it on the for track

Suspension setup for circuit racing

The paint work on the car is not the best

Still looks respectable but is very thin in areas and could do with a respray

No accident history and car is very straight

Interior is very clean and standard apart from a few Blitz gauges and Nardi steering wheel

This car has had mega $$$$$ spent and I have the receipts to prove it

I need to sell it to fund a new family car

I have two kids under 2 and the wife refuses to get in it

$10,000 ono

Yep, this clown puts it up for sale every few months. I can't find the Ebay listing now. I guess he pulled it again!
The guy is a Moron.

Pretty sure the above link works I tried it then.

280kw's at four wheels with only 510cc injectors!! If this thing had a so-called ''1316Nm'' of torque, one squeeze of the throttle and it's chassis would turn into a figure 8....

Nice VR4!!

Trust exhaust mani?
hmmm... looks like an SS autochrome one to me.

apart from that, looks like a steal!

U wont run a 10 in a VR4 with 280 awkw mate. Good luck trying though. I would love to see someone else in the 10s in a VR4.
