My car is special to me, after the big accident in my wagon i bought the coupe to basically get me used to driving again coz i was scared to hop in a car
The plans were to use the wagon 93t turbo on the coupe, but things changed and i bought an evo2 front cut, and was just gonna leave it FWD and give it a nice show look
Until i spun my big end bearing and had to rebuild the engine... so after spending around 20k in total on it, i knew even if i was gonna sell it i wont get the $$ back, so i pulled my finger out and decided to AWD it
If i knew this is what i was gonna do back in 2005 after the acco, i would have just bought a GSR or something
My suggestion is if the car is standard at the moment and it hasn't got any sentimental value, sell it and buy something like a GSR, or save up and buy the car you want, there's no point modifying the car if your gonna sell it in the end
I'll be keeping my car for a long time, well my son has already claimed it as his own lol, i'm actually looking for a EVO7 GTA for the MRS
seems like u've been through a lot... but u do have a nice car now and i do admire it and can see how much time and effort u've spent into doing it...
the car is standard ryt apart from a nice sound system... (who doesnt want a nice sound system??)... and seeing as wat i've said b4 about the work my dad put into it... id like to keep it...
also, good luck with letting go ur car to ur son... hahaha... along with the EVO VII GTA for the Mrs... =]
im starting myself on a 93t swap so if you like i'll give you a step by step and exact pricelist if you want
so far engine $150
gaskets $336
rings $130
main bearings $94
rod bearings $63
Oh that'd be nice... i'd just like to no how much it all cost ya if thats ok...
pm me ur progress and costs if thats possible...
its already up to $800 odd but we'll see the final pricing first before i go ahead and try anythn...
best of luck with the swap mate... =]
^ this.
either:
a) put on a evo3 style kit and keep it as a daily. or
b ) sell it and buy a GSR/evo.
You will not be able to effectively and competently convert the GL to '63t awd for under $10,000.
This is not advice. This is how it is.
i understand wat ur talkin bout here... like i've said a plenty of times... it has personal value to me so i dont wanna sell it...
right now im in the option A category...
