4g63T dry sump + some interesting info

Yeah high oil pressure can be a real fuktard of a thing for your engine.
I think the majority of 4G63 owners wouldn't throw $5.5K on a dry sump setup unless they were serious about competition.
Most of us would be able to afford to modify our oil pumps and port the oil filter housings to drop the pressures though (when you remove balance shafts).

it is that I have seen luke. I think just buying the pan would be the go, you can use a stock oil pump cover, then
just fit a pump and buy a tank

my point exactly, the stock pump is fine if the relief is sorted, its surge on competition cars that's an issue,
not so much supplied pressure

I didn't make any modifications to my oil system when I removed the balance shafts and sofar I've had no issues with my oil pressure on the track (touch wood!)

once you get the fats on you will need to keep an eye out for surge, mine was fine at most corners under 1.5g, once over that lh corners are not good news

Thanks for the extra information. Will do some more research and post back with what I find.

Fk $5.5k. Additional baffles in the sump?

DSM guys seem to have tried a product called Accusump, looks ok in theory but doesn't seem to get the greatest wrap for full race application.

Yeah the guys are running it here. It is more of a extra time to shut the engine down then a long term solution. One of the guys split his oil line and the accusump pumped the extra oil in and he then shut down the car.

If you spend 15k on an engine the 5k is really the long term warranty.

lol, all my evos have dry sump. So much safer, the Norris kit is one of the best out there. mine all rev well over 10,000rpm tho, for daily driving not really worth it.

Nissans use oil restrictors in the oil feed to the head. You'd probably need to alleviate some pressure though.
