Hi guys,

The clutch in my stock cc gsr has started to slip, mainly over 3k rpm.
Can the clutch pedal be adjusted or should clutch plate just be replaced? Current clutch has ticked 60,000ks.

Cheers,

replacement is the only option once it has slipped..... the only adjustment is on the master cylinder rod at the back of the pedal

Thanks,

The cheapest clutch i could find was $240 for Valeo item.
then $1300 clutch kit + labour from Ultratune and $670 from Talk torque auto (maybe they think its the fwd version)

normally i would do it my self but it seems like such a clutter in the fwd layout

$1300 fark that! If you have an engine crane and jack, jack stands and a few mates do it your self one weekend B)
I do it for mates for a couple of cartons, talking shit, fuck arsing around, OH and actually getting the job done PLUS you will actually learn something!

Just remember jack and jack stand safety is a biggie!

dont you have to remove transfer case and all that other jazz?

Strange thing is 1-2k rpm would be ok then 2-4k would slip but then 4k-6k will stick? going up hill is when it is really noticeable

If booted it will stick for most of it... Maybe oil is leaking onto the clutch?

i got the equipment to do so but never really worked on a east west layout before, whats the easy way of replacing the clutch? take the engine out or drop the gbox?

either way is a mongrel job that i don't look forward to....but as said above ...a few mates make it easier.

box out will be cheapest as you don't need coolant

yeah just went for drive on the freeway and its pretty slippy, might as well change it and do the td05 in one go

thx
