Who? What? Cost?
Who should i talk to about getting this done?
Who should do the conversion? Can i do it. I hav a few mates who have done quite a few conversions, motor builds etc.
What motor should i replace the 4G93 with? VR4, Evo What?
How much is it going to cost? With getting a workshop to do it and DIY?
How long should it take either way?

Thanks

hey buddy,
from the looks of it, looks like you bought SXYGSR's old car. if i recall he just rebuilt it, so why not just go from there? it would be a waste in my opinion going straight for the 63 when that 93 is has been freshly built.

but if you want to go the 63 route, just do a search. EVERY question u've asked has been answered on these forums.. just look around :)

well driving back from a holiday in sydney the car lost all compression in one of its cylinders, massive amount of blueish smoke shot out the back of the car and god knows whats wrong with it. just bout to take the head off and have a look-see inside the motor.
so im just doing alot of research so depending on what needs to be done when the head has been removed, i can do it straight away without wasting time doing the research then.

cheers

Give Rob @ CREATD motorsports a call ........... he will be able to point you in the right direction.

If you reeeeaaaallly want to swap to a 4G63 motor, the simplest conversion is to get yourself a EVO 1 2 or 3 half cut and go from there.

its not cheap though, whichever way you go.

2lt convertion is the way to go, im doing it myself with a few mates to help me that way i now what work is really getting done, it mite take a little longer than a workshop doing it, but it is cheaper, all the informtion is in the link above. if your ganna fully rebuild and fordge get a VR4 motor there alot cheaper like in doing, if your like me and new to all 4Gs all the guy on this forum are really helpful, im sure they well give you a few tip

like GSRSOL said its not cheap, but from what ive been told its SO worth it have a look around in members rides and see how many ppl have pissed of there 93s for a 63

good luck with it

I REGRET doing the swap

in retrospect i would have preferred to have an off-tap 4G93 than a 4g63......

but thats just me

but theres so much more you can do with the 63s like lots MORE POWER, but with all the money im going to send or have sent on this new motor i could of put a depoit on a house,

but thats just me, lol

Don't get me started.. The amount of cash I put into the conversion to the Sonata, and now converting the GSR ... I think I could have bought 2 houses... Well maybe not, but you get the point...

but for some reason we gotta do it

Yep I know... I really think mine is an addiction ... I am just never happy with it..

I keep telling myself that I will give up spending money on cars, but never do .. Oh well, I think we need a C-Line ... like the gambling G-line but for car modders...

Swap the engines.

I know of one of the previous owners, and that engine (if its still the same one) has been rebuilt and blown up so many times.
