4g93t 2.0mm head gasket

4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

Umm what are you actually chasing?? a 4G93T 1.8 head gasket or a 4G63T 2.0 Gasket??

Also what bore side and what thickness??

Can I ask what your engine setup is?
2mm and 82mm bore!?

Wow someones bored him out a bit. Can you not use a 1.5mm HG?

From those specs, I take it you have a proton engine and have decompessed it?

2mm HG seems a bit too much considering the stock GSR MLS HG is 0.5mm.
You can get quite a few sizes:

0.5, 0.8, 1.2, 1.5, 1.8 and 2mm
I am running a genuine mitsubishi MLS 0.8mm which I measured on the verniers at the flatest part of 0.92mm. It came from an Ebay member and he had a couple of sizes.
I would steer away from the 1.5mm graphite composite head gaskets which usually come in the SOHC rebuild kits as thats what I blew last year and I just dont trust them! Mind you im running quite a bit of boost!

There is Jasma brand out of Malaysia which I think comes in the option of 82mm and 1.8 and 2mm ,also on ebay. SOLD OUT!!!! EMAIL HIM!!! LINK for 2mm: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/370615598400?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
1.8mm: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/370615598219?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

One of the mitsubishi engines runs 82mm bores so their HG would be an option. I just cant think of it right now as I type this.

I know you are in a hurry but Chris Meek is a fountain of information if you have the time to talk to him.

I hope this sheds some light on some things and helps out.

Good hunting!

EDIT some other links:

Same bloke I bought the 0.8mm off

The head has had port and polished and port matched with oversized valves and due to block being decked a couple of times and also the head it doesn't have the same clearance. The guy that builds my engines has given me the specs and he is never wrong

Makes sense, although you didnt mention that it has been bored out by 40 thou....
Has it now been bored out twice? 20 thou then another 20 thou or straight to 40 thou?
Just interested why?
Are you forged now?

It was bored out 20 thou with forged cp pistons then the timing belt went after 70,000 and broke the valve seat off and scored the bore so gotta go another 20 thou to clean up the damage from the valve seat, also need new pistons. Didn't think I had to tell anyone why I need that head gasket

I shouldn't have to explain why I'm after a certain part. That's what I've asked for if you don't have that part why bust my ass

No need to ask questions as to why I need that part and there will be hundreds of people on this forum that have the same issues that I have, hence the reason many people don't bother with it. So every time someone asks for a part they have to give a run down on there engine specs

Is it a secret engine from NASA?

I dont understand why you have an issue with people asking these questions??
They are trying to help you out in the end...

If I needed advice on something I would of posted in the gsr technical section. I know what part I needed so I posted in the Wanted to buy section. It's a 4g93t, original engine out of a gsr, I don't need people telling me they think its a proton engine, I would of stated that. Why get involved unless you have the part I asked for

No need to be angry, we are a MITSUBISHI ENTHUSIAST COMMUNITY! People here are interested....

Like I said I was interested to know what you had thats all. You dont need to tell me shit about what specs you have if you dont want to, but once again I was interested. Its what makes this place go around so we can help. I wasnt busting your ass about anything.
I have a forged setup as well and your request was interesting hence why ppl started asking questions considering your original post (now edited) didnt have all the information like 2mm thick and 82mm bore otherwise the 2nd poster wouldnt of asked.

Thanks for the links might have been nice too, considering I found them for you.
I even emailed the Jasma supplier them asking if they had more.
No response yet....

I hope you find what you are looking for.

You're welcome.

Thankyou.

Email back just then:

Hi there,

Yes, stock is available. They only come in 82mmm bore.

Regards,
David

Just found this on gumtree: http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/liverpool/engine-engine-parts-transmission/proton-satria-gti-cc-lancer-gsr-evo-turbo-jamsa-head-gasket/1006838684

Same as the one on ebay!

Thanks for the links but I already emailed them Friday and asked them if they could get a head gasket to me in 5 days but they couldn't do that so they told me to go through Fitzrace as they would have a better chance of getting it to me. I ordered the gasket through Fitzrace Friday but not sure if it will make it here when I need it hence the reason I posted a topic asking if anyone had one in the country. I appreciate the help but I already went down those paths

i was/ em running a jasma 1.8mm gasket in my GSR donk.. and ive had issue recently with oil leaking between the head and block, im using ARP studs aswell.. but maybe its something to do with the guys that i used to deck the head etc..

Well i found something, not sure if it will be any use to you.
On this website: http://squirtparts.blogspot.com.au/2011/04/jasma-mmc-4g93t-metal-gasket.html they have the head gasket and they have a part number for it however the same part number suits 1.8mm and 2.0mm. The part number is MD332820S. I couldn't find for myself any more information on the part number such as the bore size. I guess you could try contacting Mitsubishi in the morning and see if they can either tell you more info or see if one is in stock of the 2.0 mm variety.
Good luck.
