its all in the gearbox
4G93/EVO I-III are north south mounted on the gearbox.
vote +11tybillion for waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay not worth it.
cost heaps more to get a 4G93 in than selling the 4G93 and buying a VR4 engine.
quick list of things that need changing, if its a semi stock "cyborg"
passenger engine mount, $200
evo/gsr gearbox, $900
evo gsr transfer case, $200
mods to north/south crossmember, $300
cluth and flywheel, $700
starter motor, $100
wiring differences/ecu loom, $500
rear diff, $$$
very, very, very rough prices, total guesses, mainly guessed on experience. i generally use this rule, take a rough estimate, double it, then at 10% and you generally end up close. there are so many factors not even considered in that list too. i could be possible to do it for a few hundred dollars if you can get bits for cheap.
biggest problem will be because you have to change gearboxes, that also means either the gearboxes front diff needs to be changed or the rear diff does too.
soooooooo, free/cheap 4G93 equals lots more money that VR4.
and you wind up with a shitter stock engine.
