Help Support 4GTuner:

Cheers Jack, am ok, sore back neck an head, usual sort of injuries, an nope, no bang but plenty of crunches!

An yea Ian, I did think that but will probably look at keeping the shell of the black 1 I have an just building a race car, ive been contemplating selling the gsr or the 5 as 4 car regos a bike reg and insurance was killing the build funds

Google mate. Some people say they are shit..others love them...its kinda something you need to read up about then decide whether to take the punt...for the price not that big of a gamble..longevity is the question but.

I'm running one, haven't had any probs so far and did a lot of research before buying it.

Silvia and Skyline guys swear by them, and I haven't found many stories about them failing. I know there was an issue with the one's that run the aftermarket style black wastegate, as the bracket wasn't strong enough to hold the gate shut at high boost. I've been running mine (standard style wastegate) at 24-25psi for about 5,000kms and haven't had a problem so far.

I've read mixed feedback on customer service regarding warranty/replacement parts, but generally the feedback is good.

There are a few guys on here that run them without any problems, best to read up on them and see what you think.

Unfortunately they face the other direction, so it could be done in theory but will involve more custom work.

Much easier to just stick with the Evo 1-3/VR4 16g.

If I were you I'd go the brand new Kinugawa 16g, they come with 12months warranty and at half the price and probably just as good for what you're using it for, it makes sense.

You could buy turbo, dump and front pipe and mate it at the cat, at least you'd have enough exhaust to drive to to an exhaust shop if it didn't fit straight up to the existing cat and mid pipe

Dont want to hijack the thread but I'm planning on putting a TD05-14B onto my GSR, will I need to make the same modifications to the exhaust to get that to fit?
